Just got a call from some automated system. It said press 1 for an advisor, press 2 to opt out. So I hit 2! Then a woman picked up and said: "How can I assist you?" Told her to REMOVE my number!! She said no more calls for me, sir. I reckon they’ll just pass my number on to more scammers though. It’s all a game - but can we actually win?

just missed a call from this number, looked it up here and blocked it straight away. love working in my office but grrr, pity my 2 year old is with his dad right now. he usually gets so excited when mummy doesn’t snatch the phone back and he can just babble away to whoever’s on the other end. the last bloke on the phone caught on eventually and started laughing before finally giving up and saying bye when I told him to hand the phone back to mummy.

I seen that Verso Group are claiming someone is pretending to be them. Maybe you should get in touch with the telephone ombudsman about it. I also came across a link with Love Your Office. You could bill them for your time and then consider taking them to the small claims court to get your money back along with any extra costs.

After the 3rd time they rang me, I just shouted "TAKE MY BLOODY NUMBER OFF YOUR LIST!!!" She said sorry and promised no more calls. No bother since. Honestly, you can give these lot a piece of your mind without worry, cause they’re the ones breakin' laws, not you. Let it all out, folks! You’ll feel loads better. Got a call from 'I Love My Office' earlier, so I said I love my mum and they just dropped the call straight away.

This woman with an Asian accent called saying she had 3 quick questions. The first was about my age and she seemed to think I was younger cause of how I sounded all sweet and young. Nah, flattery wont work on me missy. Hung up straight away. Just a waste of time.

Lately I’ve been getting calls from 01347 820246, which I found out is an Easingwold code (just above Yorkshire). I didn’t recognise the number so I called back and they said it was I LOVE MY OFFICE. When asked to press 1, 2 or 3, I chose 2 to unsubscribe. A woman with an Asian accent answered, but I couldn’t really catch what she said because it was really brief. Then she went silent, so after waiting a bit, I just ended the call.

They called me 7 times in just 3 days. On the third call I picked up and just let them go on and on until they twigged and hung up. The fourth time I pretended to be interested but then told them my phone was connected to an MI5 line and that the police were on their way for fraud and terrorism. Someone called saying they were from Microsoft, telling me to switch on my PC so they could check if I was being hacked. When I said no, they got quite rude and pushed me, even accusing me of lying when I said I'd call them from work later. Definitely a scam trying to get access. Right off the bat, it raised my suspicions since, let’s be honest, Microsoft will never ring you; you have to ring them if you need help. The most recent call was yesterday (Monday 13th June 2016) when I believe I spoke to a manager. Claims to be 'Michael Rogers' - a name that screams English, yet his accent seems decidedly Asian. He purports to be ringing from the Technical and Maintenance team at Microsoft, insisting that my computer is on the verge of being compromised and rendered useless unless I switch it on and heed his directions.
When I pressed for his location or a contact number for the head office to authenticate his identity, he flatly refused, asserting that he could verify his own legitimacy! It's outrageous that these scammers are still at large. They merely change their phone numbers once they’ve been discovered by a handful of individuals. Who’s turning a blind eye to such unscrupulous behaviour?

I told them to take my number off their calling list, but they said they needed to verify some info first before they could do that. This number phoned me 4 times today, saying they were from Microsoft. I hung up first 3 times, but on the fourth one, I asked the guy, with an Indian accent, to remove me from their list. He claimed he knew my address, so I asked him what it was. He gave me a totally different address than mine. When I told him that wasn’t where I live, he called me a liar. I then asked to speak to his manager, and he started calling me a stupid woman and threatened to slap me. I told him I was going to report him to the police.
