Got one of those scam calls about a supposed accident again. This time I just blew a whistle into the phone (been getting these calls almost daily for ages now) and then hung up. The same guy, sounded Asian, rang back on a bunch of zeroes and had the cheek to joke about me doing it louder and again. I just left him on the line talking nonsense while I got on with my day, no idea when he gave up.

So I get this call at half past eight on a Saturday night from some bloke claiming someone else involved in my “accident” has admitted fault - except I haven’t had any accident at all. I ask him which one he means since I’ve supposedly been in loads, and then he tries to get my personal info. I ask who’s calling and he says it’s Accident Advice Services, based in Manchester. When I press for more info like the postcode and road, he gives me a Wigan Road postcode and then asks what country I’m in, I say France just to mess with him. After that, things get ugly and we end up shouting at each other. Honestly, you can’t really win against these types - just stretch the chat out, feed them nonsense details, nothing real, and if they start being rude, throw it right back at them. Once they have your number, they’ll keep ringing, it’s all just some annoying game. Number that called me: 0208 1506150.

So apparently they’re from some government dept called CNDS, and they claim to get accident details from hospitals.
