Somebody rang me claiming to be from O2, saying I was eligible for a discount and a gift - an Apple Watch Series 8 - because I’d been a loyal customer for years. They said I needed to give them a six-digit code sent by O2 to my phone, supposedly to confirm the offer. After I gave the code, my password was changed without me knowing, and they set up a contract for an iPhone 14 Pro Max behind my back. When the watch never turned up like they promised, I got suspicious and contacted O2 straight away to update my account details. The caller pretended to be an O2 rep, but it was a total scam. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, which was odd since I’m with Vodafone. They said they needed to chat about my account, but I don’t even have one with them. I could hear people talking in the background too, like it wasn’t a proper call centre or something. Ended the call straight away. Probably just a scam to trick O2 customers into handing over personal info.
