They promised me a reduction on my account as well as a complimentary gift - an Apple Watch Series 8 - to thank me for my loyalty as a long-time customer. To process this, they claimed they needed the 6-digit verification code sent to my mobile. Regrettably, once I shared this code, I found that my password had been altered without my approval. Subsequently, I discovered that a contract for an iPhone 14 Pro Max was being executed without my awareness. When the promised gift failed to materialise as promised, my suspicions were aroused, prompting me to reach out to O2 and update my personal details. The call was definitely not from a legitimate O2 representative.
