They mentioned sending a code that I was supposed to give back to them, but turns out, that code is actually to reset your account info, giving the scammers full access. Since I’m not with 02 anymore, I sussed it was dodgy straight away. When they tried sending the code, my number wouldn’t work, so they even asked if I had a different number. Told them to jog on - I wasn’t falling for their trick!3 yearsI got a call from a guy with a really thick accent who was trying to tell me he could help save money on my O2 mobile plan. The line was terrible, so I asked him to ring back later. That was around 12:53 on 25/7/23. Later the same day, I received at least three more calls from the same number, which my phone marked as Suspected Spam at 13:32, 15:31 and 17:26. Since my network flagged the number as spam, I didn’t pick up and eventually blocked it. It did make me wonder though, as the phone number is linked to my husband’s business and the account isn’t actually in my name.3 yearsI received a call from this number, but as soon as I remained silent, they hung up.
