Someone called saying they're with o2 and can lower my bills, which is weird since I'm not even with them. What a bunch of idiots!

I received a call on my phone from this number, but I opted not to pick up. Shortly afterwards, I got a message that read: "You missed a call from me at 12:13 on 29th May. This is a complimentary Call Alert from O2. If you wish to opt out, simply dial 901, press *, followed by option 5 and option 5 again." I've since blocked the number and haven’t attempted to return the call. Lately, I’ve been inundated with calls from fraudsters masquerading as O2 representatives.

Those pesky con artists had a distinct accent that suggested they were in an overseas call centre. The individual on the line identified themselves as representing Sky, but as I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, I promptly hung up.
