Reports on phone number 02081449677
4 yearsI've received five calls from this lot. The first time I answered, I explained that I don't own a computer. However, the bloke on the other end went on about thieves pilfering funds from my account through my laptop. I reiterated, several times mind you, that I have neither a computer nor a laptop linked to this number. His persistence ramped up, and he turned increasingly hostile before abruptly hanging up on me. What a disgraceful scam - the chap and his associates ought to feel utterly embarrassed by their actions.4 yearsI had an unsettling encounter with a gentleman sporting a Pakistani accent who, rather oddly, didn't bother to provide his name. He claimed there was an issue with my laptop. Ironically, my laptop has completely conked out and refuses to power on. What’s more, he seemed to know it was a laptop without me mentioning it! I mentioned to him that I’d be reporting it to Action Fraud, and this has left me rather on edge, as I’m genuinely worried that my laptop might have been compromised. The only passwords I keep stored are for BT and Scottish Power. Thankfully, my email features triple-step verification, and my banking has similar robust security measures in place. I’ve also made it a point not to save any card information on websites. It’s baffling how they could have gained access to my details!Action FraudBTScottish PowerSubmit Your Own Report (020 8144 9677)
