2 yearsYesterday just after 2 in the afternoon, I got a call from this number claiming to be my bank. While I was speaking with them, my bank alerted me to three tries to withdraw a big amount from my account, which luckily got blocked. As soon as the call ended abruptly, I got suspicious and decided to ring my bank straight away. That’s when I found out I’d nearly been scammed. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.2 yearsi got this call from someone who claimed to be Brian, which is actually my husband’s name, so i picked up just to check. The caller said he was from HM Revenue & Customs and told me they were reviewing my taxes for 2022/23 and that i supposedly owed £570. i told them i had no idea about that and that if it was true, they would’ve sent me a letter. realised straight away it was a scam and hung up.BrianHMRC2 yearsGot a call telling me I had unpaid taxes and that id be arrested in an hour.
