Just like others here, I had a call from someone named “Angelina” who said she was calling on behalf of BT Internet. She told me hackers were trying to break into my router (pretty ironic if you ask me!). She couldn’t verify my BT account number and gave me a number to ring back. I didn’t bother calling and looked it up here instead. Definitely don’t ring them back or follow any instructions they give you about downloading stuff. They’re trying to get you to install malware or a virus. Stay safe!

I got a call from someone saying she was "Angelina" from BT tech support. She gave me the number 020 8144 8871 to call her back. Later, I looked up the number and found out Cheshire Police actually put out a warning about it. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Today I got a call and they already knew my name and where I live, telling me my IP had been hacked or something. I asked for a contact number and they gave me 0208 144 8871. They said they'd cut off my wifi in an hour and it’d be down for a week. I asked to talk to a manager, and some guy came on saying basically the same thing. Everything sounded really dodgy and hard to catch what they were saying. When I pushed for more details, they just hung up. I rang back, and someone answered saying they were from BT’s tech department. What a load of clowns!

Around 10 in the morning, I got a ring from a woman who said her name was Tracey and that she was with BT’s tech support. She told me my computer was downloading stuff and asked me to let her fiddle with it. When I told her BT had actually cut off my internet yesterday coz I didn’t agree to her demands, she responded by giving me this number 02081448871.

I got a call from someone who sounded Indian, saying my internet service was about to get cut off. She sounded pretty convincing, kept telling me to install teamviewer. She gave me her name as Angelina and said her agent number was bt007. When I heard that, I thought it was a bit dodgy. I told her I'd ring back once I'd downloaded the software and then just hung up. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call on my landline at about 1:50pm on 16th February 2017 from a bloke saying he was Henry from BT’s tech team. I asked for his contact number and he told me it was 020 8144 8871. When I asked for his work ID, he just said bt69. I told him I'd ring back later. After that, I put in a complaint with BT asking them to check if this was a scam. Still no word from them yet.

I got a call from a woman with a South Asian accent who said she was from BT, telling me my computer was spreading a virus to other people. She gave me a wrong address and phone number, and couldn’t say which of my devices was causing the problem. Something felt off, and when I asked for proof, she told me I could check her ID by ringing 020-8144-8871. I didn’t bother and just hung up.
