This bloke Daniel Abdullah just wouldn’t stop ringing and honestly, it got on my nerves big time. I might’ve lost it and gave him a right telling off with a few choice words, but he just took it like it was nothing - guess he’s heard worse before! They’re just trying to confuse you, saying they can prove your electricity or gas company is charging you too much. Don’t fall for it, just blacklist their number and forget about it - it’s a load of rubbish!

Earlier today, I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from Scottish Power, requesting that I verify my personal information. When I pressed them for a contact number, they provided me with 02037694220, which, as it turns out, is non-functional. A quick call to Scottish Power confirmed that they hadn’t tried to reach me at all. I strongly advise against engaging with these types of calls; they seem highly suspect. Since I keep a record of all my communications, I've reported the incident to watchdog and shared the details with Citizens Advice as well. Best to stay cautious out there!

As a sole trader running a little retail shop, I was absolutely besieged by these jokers who rang me a staggering seven times within just ten minutes, claiming they had some miraculous way to cut my costs. They simply wouldn’t take no for an answer. I made it clear that my number is on a preferred list and kindly asked them to cease the incessant calls. To my dismay, they flatly refused. After I hung up, they had the audacity to ring me once more. It was at that point I threatened to lodge a harassment complaint against them, but they merely laughed off my concerns. To top it all off, shortly after that last call, I found that I was unable to make outgoing calls - they had not bothered to hang up on their end!

After firmly declining their offer four times, I jestingly claimed that I was swimming in cash and had no need for such savings. The caller found it amusing, which only added to my irritation, so I promptly ended the conversation. However, they had the audacity to ring me back almost instantly, cheekily suggesting that if I had all this spare cash, I should share some with them! I received a rather dubious call from a chap with an Indian accent, claiming to be representing the National Grid Systems. He insisted it was urgent, stating they needed to update our information in their database. He mentioned that British Gas was our energy supplier, but that's quite a laugh because we've lived here for eight years, and that hasn’t been the case at all! I decided to have a bit of fun and told him our supplier was actually a hamster on a wheel. Clearly, he didn’t appreciate my banter, as he quickly lost his temper and hung up! What a character!

I received a rather dubious call from an individual who purported to be part of the Switch and Save team, supposedly located at 160 London Road, Barking, IG11 8BB. To my surprise, I discovered it's actually a virtual office! I firmly requested that he take my business number off his list, to which he responded in what he thought was an eloquent English accent, calling me a right F-ing Bastard. Utterly unprofessional behaviour! I strongly advise steering clear of these rogue operators.

I had a rather similar experience! They purport to be from Opus Energy, a name that carries some weight, but believe me, there’s no affiliation whatsoever. If they happen to ring you, it might be a good opportunity to unleash any frustrations you’ve been holding onto-feel free to express yourself however you wish, as it truly doesn’t bother them in the slightest! What a peculiar approach to sales! They had the audacity to suggest that the sole way to cease their incessant calls was by entering into a contract with them. Absolute buffoons, to say the least!
