Got a call early today from someone claiming to be EE, which honestly gave me a good chuckle. I’d been on edge waiting for a call like this ever since my mum got caught up in a scam. Someone called pretending to be from my network, Three, and even mentioned my exact bill. They tried to tempt me with a “free” Apple or Samsung watch for being a “loyal customer” - sounded way too good to be true haha. I played along, gave them my address and all, but then they asked for my bank details. That’s when I snapped out of it and just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Three, sounded proper convincing at first. But then they started probing for all sorts of personal stuff, even asked for my full bank card info. They told me to check an email they’d supposedly sent, which looked genuine on first glance, but a proper read showed loads of spelling and grammar errors. Don’t be fooled by these scams. If a deal sounds too good and you didn’t ring them first, just end the call and block the number straight away.

02081446584 Got a call from this number offering me an £18 a month deal, with unlimited calls and texts plus 500 international minutes. They were pushing a Samsung S23 Ultra with 512GB, on a 24-month contract or something. The caller kept calling and even said my name was Brayen, which it’s not. I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam. I got a call like that just now. They kicked off talking loads about my provider, Three (and 02 as well), trying to pitch some amazing upgrade deal. Thing is, I’m tied into my contract for over a year still, so no chance of changing. What really gave it away was the phone ringing off the hook in the background and the rushed, pushy way they spoke. I’ve marked the number as spam straight away.

Got a call from 02081446584 about some O2 deal that sounded like a total scam. Watch out, it’s definitely not legit!

Don't bother talking to this person! It's totally a SCAM!! I nearly got caught out and felt pretty daft, but thankfully I snapped out of it just in time! They sounded really legit - knew loads about my EE account. Funny thing is, they mentioned Vodafone, and that's who I just switched from!!

I had a call from someone claiming to be with O2, which confused me since I’m not an O2 customer. When I questioned them, they quickly changed their story and said they were actually from Vodafone. I mean, come on, that was pretty obvious what they were trying to do.

Said they were from O2 but it was clearly a scam, didn’t have any of my info and got really rude when I called them out.

I've seen a few episodes of Scam Interceptors and catch Morning Live, so I know about the dodgy calls pretending to be from O2. I've never been with O2 myself, so it's pretty straightforward for me to just hang up on these calls. Over the past half year, they've bothered me about three times already. Now I get that reporting these numbers could help others avoid the hassle. Cheers for offering this helpful site.

SCAM alert! They said they were from Vodafone, trying to offer me a discount. Then they asked which network I use (bit suspicious), I was in a good mood tho and let them send me the codes. When I said the message said not to share them, they just ended the call.

Got another call claiming to be from O2, had one a few days ago too with no number showing. Honestly, must have gotten about 20 of these calls by now. The lady on the phone had a strong accent, and when I told her I was fed up with these nonstop calls and it was clearly a scam, she just hung up on me.

Kept ringing even tho I didn’t pick up. A lady with an Indian accent asked how I was doing today, just the same annoying stuff in the middle of the day. I told her straight up the call felt like rubbish and that I’d be blocking the number right away.

I got a call from someone with a really strong Indian accent saying they could help me save 40% on my autonetwork bills???!!! When I asked, it had nothing to do with cars at all. Weird.

My phone’s from O2 and it instantly blocked the number as suspicious! Marked it as a possible scam! Gone for good!!

I didn’t pick up, but sounds like another one of those scam calls where they try to sell you an amazing phone offer. Time to make good use of my ‘block this number’ option.

I've checked with O2 myself and they assured me this lot aren’t from them, so yeah, it’s definitely a scam. Watch out and don’t hand over any details. They’ll try to get you to update your account password, but don’t fall for it. If you have already done it, get in touch with O2 straight away or update your security through their app. They can’t access your account otherwise, so they try to trick you into giving it away. Also, heads up, the callers often sound like they’re from India. I don’t want to stereotype anyone, but sadly, that’s become quite a typical sign of this kind of fraud.

020 8144 6584 Got a call from an Indian call centre saying it was about reducing my O2 bills and call charges. Then they started asking for my home address, bank info and email. When I asked for more details, the person on the phone got really rude and just hung up. Definitely a total scam.

Got a call from someone like the O2 scam, same thick Indian accent but this time called herself "Jennifer". Instead of asking for the OTP to unlock your account, she wanted my email address so they could send a "forgot password" link. Then they told me to change my password to the so-called "discount code" to get access back. With the OTP scam, I used to pretend the code never arrived on my phone, which used to annoy them. Need to figure out a way to mess with this email reset trick now. Anyone got any suggestions?

This number kept calling me so I decided to act like I was from O2’s fraud team. When the caller said they were from one of O2’s partners, I told them O2 doesn’t work with any such company. I accused them of trying to scam O2 customers. They swore at me, which made me laugh. Then I joked that since they’re ringing so much, I could sort them out with a discount on their phone bill. They didn’t like that, dropped an F-bomb and ended the call.

So, yesterday evening I rang Three to ask for my PAC code. They wanted to know why, and I said I was considering switching to O2. Then this morning, I saw a missed call from this number. I never pick up calls from unknown numbers, so I’m clueless who was calling. Reading through the comments, I guess it might be the Three team on the day shift who try to persuade customers to stay. Or maybe I’m just overthinking it, but what if O2 somehow got wind of my call and wanted to jump in to seal the deal?
