Received a text claiming my O2 bill hadn’t been processed and they’d handle it. The twist? I don’t even have an O2 account! When I called them out and remarked on their questionable tactics, I jokingly said, “Bet your mum’s thrilled with your career choice!” and they promptly ended the call!

I received a call from this number, and when I picked up, they claimed to be from EE. The caller ID indicated a London number. However, as soon as they mentioned EE, I knew I had to hang up since I don't even have an account with them. I've now blocked the number - just another bunch of scammers at it again!

This morning, I received a cheeky call from someone claiming to be from EE, which had me chuckling. I've been expecting a call like that ever since my mum fell prey to a scam. They were trying to lure me in with some nonsense about a 40% discount on my bill. As soon as I replied, "No thanks, I recognise this as a scam," they promptly ended the call. Quite the laugh!

Utterly dodgy, no doubt about it! I couldn't help but play along, having a laugh while they tried to pull a fast one. They claimed to be from Three and were keen to know which network I was on, all while offering to upgrade my current Three contract. As a bit of mischief, I even concocted a fictional phone model. Best to steer clear of these chancers and block them!

Someone called pretending to be from my network, Three, and even mentioned my exact bill. They tried to tempt me with a “free” Apple or Samsung watch for being a “loyal customer” - sounded way too good to be true haha. I played along, gave them my address and all, but then they asked for my bank details. That’s when I snapped out of it and just ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from 3, and at first, it seemed quite authentic. However, things took a turn when they began probing into my personal information and requested my complete bank card details. They insisted I check my email for verification, and while it appeared genuine initially, a closer inspection revealed numerous grammatical and spelling errors. Please, do yourselves a favour and don’t be taken in by this nonsense. If an offer strikes you as overly enticing, especially when you didn’t initiate the conversation, it’s best to disconnect and block the number immediately.

The person on the line said they could give me a 30% discount on my contract as well as a complimentary Samsung tablet, all in gratitude for my loyalty to the network. 02081446584 I received a call from this number, and they were touting an £18 monthly contract that supposedly included unlimited everything and five hundred minutes for international calls. They mentioned a Samsung S23 Ultra with 512 GB storage over a two-year period. The caller referred to me as Brayen. I've already blocked them, but I wanted to share my experience just to make others aware. Clearly, it's a scammer!

I’ve just experienced a similar phone call. It began with a lengthy spiel about O2 before shifting focus to Three, which is my current provider. They were eager to entice me with an unbelievable deal and mentioned an upgrade, despite the fact that I’m firmly tied into my contract for over a year still - absolutely no way out! The signs were all there: their tone was overly frantic, and the chaos of what sounded like a call centre in the background was a definite red flag. I’ve gone ahead and flagged the number as spam.

So I received a call supposedly from Three. They started off by asking how my signal was and similar queries. Before I knew it, they were pitching me new deals, which I politely declined. Got a random call from 020 8144 6584 today. Didn’t pick up but decided to check the number and looks like it’s a scam. Then, just as I was looking it up, another call came in from 020 8059 5332. I answered and it sounded like it was some Indian call centre. I told them to never ring me again and hung up. Feels like these two numbers could be from the same place. My number isn’t shared much, and I haven’t had a call on this emergency backup phone in over a year. Getting two calls within five minutes is definitely suspicious. Total scam stuff.

Got a missed call, but seeing what others said, it’s just the usual scam trying to fish info... blocked straight away.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS NUMBER! There are dodgy gangs out there acquiring UK phone numbers and masquerading as if they’re affiliated with O2. Steer clear of answering! Don’t engage in conversation! Make sure to block this number immediately!

Don't bother talking to this person! It's totally a SCAM!! I nearly got caught out and felt pretty daft, but thankfully I snapped out of it just in time! They sounded really legit - knew loads about my EE account. Funny thing is, they mentioned Vodafone, and that's who I just switched from!!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, promising a rather enticing 40% discount. The catch? They wanted me to send over a PIN code. Sounded a bit fishy to me, if I’m honest!

I received a call from someone claiming to be with O2. I was a bit baffled, as I don’t even have an account with them! When I pressed for clarification, she suddenly switched her story and said she was actually from Vodafone. It’s incredible how transparent that was!

I enjoy watching Scam Interceptors and Morning Live. I'm well informed about the fraudulent calls pretending to be from O2. Since I am not, and have never been, a customer of O2, it's quite simple for me to hang up on them. I've actually received such calls three times within the past six months. However, now I understand the importance of reporting these numbers to ensure the safety of others. I greatly appreciate the availability of this service.

SCAM alert! They said they were from Vodafone, trying to offer me a discount. Then they asked which network I use (bit suspicious), I was in a good mood tho and let them send me the codes. When I said the message said not to share them, they just ended the call.

Got another call claiming to be from O2, had one a few days ago too with no number showing. Honestly, must have gotten about 20 of these calls by now. The lady on the phone had a strong accent, and when I told her I was fed up with these nonstop calls and it was clearly a scam, she just hung up on me.

Kept ringing even tho I didn’t pick up. A lady with an Indian accent asked how I was doing today, just the same annoying stuff in the middle of the day. I told her straight up the call felt like rubbish and that I’d be blocking the number right away.

I just had a run-in with a proper con artist, putting on an awful accent! I cut him off before he could really get going, suggesting he ought to seek out a different line of work. Honestly, if he put as much effort into improving his accent as he does trying to pull off this ruse, he might stand a chance! He sounded about as believable as a dodgy kebab shop on Mars catering to folks who aren't keen on English, whilst pitching what is clearly a barefaced scam. Quite the amusing character, I must say!

I can confirm that these individuals are engaged in fraudulent activities. I have reached out to O2 and they have verified that they are not associated with these scammers. It is imperative to exercise caution in dealing with them. Please refrain from sharing any information with them, particularly if they request you to change your account password. If you have already been in contact with them, I strongly advise you to immediately contact O2 and update your security details. Alternatively, you can make the necessary changes using the app provided by O2. They do not have access to your account, so their objective is to solicit this information from you. Unfortunately, it is a common occurrence for scammers to have Indian accents, but it is important not to associate this behavior with the entire Indian community.

020 8144 6584 Got a call from an Indian call centre saying it was about reducing my O2 bills and call charges. Then they started asking for my home address, bank info and email. When I asked for more details, the person on the phone got really rude and just hung up. Definitely a total scam.

Got a call from someone like the O2 scam, same thick Indian accent but this time called herself "Jennifer". Instead of asking for the OTP to unlock your account, she wanted my email address so they could send a "forgot password" link. Then they told me to change my password to the so-called "discount code" to get access back. With the OTP scam, I used to pretend the code never arrived on my phone, which used to annoy them. Need to figure out a way to mess with this email reset trick now. Anyone got any suggestions?

I seem to be getting constant calls from some chap pretending to be affiliated with O2, claiming he was in the fraud and scam department. When he went on about being part of an O2 partner, I had to interject and inform him that we don't actually have any partner firms. I accused him of attempting to con our O2 clients, which led him to unleash a tirade of colourful language at me! In a cheeky mood, I suggested he might enjoy a discount on his phone bill, to which he responded with a rather rude expletive before promptly disconnecting the call. Quite a laugh, really!

Just last evening, I rang up Three to request my PAC code. When they inquired about my intentions, I mentioned that I was contemplating switching to O2. This morning, however, I received a call from an unfamiliar number. Naturally, I tend to ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise, so I've no clue who was on the other end of the line. From what I gather in the comments here, it's likely that the call originated from Three's “day shift” team, whose role appears to be retention-trying to persuade customers not to jump ship. Or perhaps I've gone a bit overboard with my paranoia, and somehow O2 caught wind of my musings and decided to swoop in to seal the deal.
