I got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse trying to sell me a mobile deal but it felt like a scam. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

My elderly aunt has just been tricked out of £750 by these scammers. They pretended to be from the London County Court and pressured her into buying Apple gift cards, then took the card numbers from her. It was all a cruel deception. I'm in the middle of filing a report with the police right now.

This number rang me twice saying I’d won £5,300, and that an officer would follow up with a cheque. Still no cheque here. Weird thing is, they already had my postcode and address - how do they know that? Anyone got any idea who these people are?

Today at about 10 in the morning my mum got a call from someone claiming to represent the county court about a PPI claim. They said they could send the money but first wanted her to pay £350 in iTunes vouchers.

Today, my wife got a phone call from some people claiming she’d be getting a cheque for £6,300. The guy on the line gave his name as Anthony Page, and there was another bloke called Kevin Richi mentioned too.

Today, I received a rather dubious phone call on the 13th of April, 2017, urging me to purchase £275 worth of iTunes vouchers. The caller claimed it was to secure a £5,500 cheque that, according to them, the high court had awarded me due to an incident back in 2014. Quite ridiculous, honestly! πŸ˜€πŸ’ΈπŸ’” I didn't take the bait, especially after they forwarded what seemed to be a court claim via email. However, the figures were all off, making it painfully obvious that it was a complete sham. A classic case of scammers at work!

Got a call from this bloke named Garreth, who claimed he was ringing from London County Court. Apparently, I’d won £5,300 from some court case, but he said I had to cough up £300 before they’d send the cheque. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

I got a voicemail from a bloke saying he was with the High Court. He told me I’d won a case about an accident and apparently got a payout of £5,000. Quite a surprise!

A mate of mine, who recently had a mishap, requested that I ring up these folks to gather some details. They claimed they possessed a settlement amount pertaining to the claim he lodged in 2013. Furthermore, they mentioned they had a cheque for £5,300 that had to be dispatched via a courier. However, prior to handing over the funds, they insisted he needed to purchase a £250 iTunes gift card, which the courier would collect before they would release the cash. I advised my friend to tread carefully. It's absolutely bonkers to part with money to receive money! Total nonsense!

Got a call today from someone claiming to be with the London county court. Definitely sounded dodgy to me, like one of those scam calls. Told them I never got any letter or official notice, and they quickly hung up. Seems like a classic trick to scare people into giving info or money. Watch out for these kinds of calls!
