Just like the other messages I've gotten, claiming I'll be arrested by HMRC. Honestly, these scammers should be thrown behind bars.

Another one spouting the same nonsense. He should be locked away for good.

Got a robo call pretending to be from HMRC claiming they had a warrant out for me. Total scam! Don’t answer and just block it straight away!

Got a call from some dodgy recorded message saying HMRC was after me with an arrest warrant. They wanted me to ring back on that number. Proper nasty, that. Could easily cause a right panic for folks.

Got a robotic call claiming to be from "HMRC" telling me there’s a warrant out for me arrest. Totally dodgy if you ask me.

Got calls on both my mobile and landline from “HMRC” saying there was an arrest warrant out for me. It’s pretty ridiculous when you think about it, but I can see how someone more vulnerable might actually panic. Shame the phone providers still can’t (or won’t) do much to block these con artists.

This number called me twice, the most recent being on 20/09/18. I didn’t pick up since I have caller ID. The message said there's a warrant for my arrest, which is a total lie. I’ve reported it to fraud action and trading standards because my elderly aunt got quite scared and might have had a heart attack over this nonsense. Absolute scumbags.

This is classic scam stuff. People who aren’t very careful are probably the ones who get caught out by this. If HMRC wanted to contact you, they’d send a proper letter, not some dodgy automated call with no personal info. I've just put the number on block now.

Just got a call from 02081445020, some automated voice claiming they were from HMRC. It sounded dodgy to me, so I’ve already reported it to both HMRC and Actionfraud. If you get a call like this, definitely report it so they can be dealt with properly!

Around midday, my landline rang and it was that usual scam: a recorded message pretending to be from the police saying I had a warrant out from HMRC. It’s quite a nasty trick and could easily scare folks who are more anxious than me. I tried to get in touch with the police via their non-emergency number, 101, to report this fraud, but after calling twice, I couldn’t get through to anyone! Honestly, what a disappointing response!

Someone reported me or something, and then they tell me to ring that number and pay a fine. Honestly, it’d be funny if it weren’t for the fact that some vulnerable folks might get really scared by this. I can’t think of anything worse than how much they seem to hate those people. Lucky for me, I don’t ever have to see those scammers face to face!

My elderly aunt got a call from someone pretending to be from HM Revenue and Customs, and it really distressed her. These scammers need to be put an end to - it's awful how they pressure folks on the phone for payment. Loads of older people might fall for it because of how intimidating the whole thing sounds. It’s seriously risky stuff.

I got a robotic call telling me there was a warrant out for my arrest because of some HMRC complaint. They even gave me a number for the warrant and a contact number to call back. When I tried the number it just went to voicemail. At the end of the message, they warned me to not ignore the call, but I just ignored it anyway.

I reckon the government must be getting some sort of kickbacks for this to keep going on like it does. No other reason why they wouldnt do anything about it.

Glad it went straight to voicemail, sounded just like all the other ones people have been talking about. Quite worrying thinking anyone might actually call back though. “We’re gonna arrest you, ha ha,” yeah right. If they keep ringing that many numbers, seems like someone’s gonna be in real trouble and probably get nicked. :D

Totally a scam! Got a creepy message so I just logged into my Gov Gateway to double-check. Didn't want to call back and risk any hidden fees.

Got a call from what looked like an international number, but the 0208 code should be London, right? It kept ringing on my phone for ages. Just waiting to see if they decide to ring me again.

My phone buzzed again with a strange number I didn’t know, so I just let it go to voicemail. Thank goodness I did, because like before, the message was some robotic voice accusing me of being wanted for arrest over HMRC fraud. It made my heart race! But then I thought, why on earth would the police leave a voicemail warning me of an arrest? So I checked the number online. Honestly, I can’t figure out what these scammers gain from this other than frightening anxious folks. There must be a way to put an end to these calls - someone really should step in and stop this nonsense.

Got a call from an automated guy warning me about some HMRC fraud and saying they’d arrest me. The end of the message was all scary with a “do not ignore” warning. I actually answered just in time to hear it, but obviously didn’t do anything after. Signed up with the preference service before too, but that hasn’t stopped these calls one bit.
