Like many others here, I received a call from a firm purporting to be BT. When we pressed them for a callback number to report their activities, it became evident this was a ruse. They’re attempting to gain access to your computer, potentially siphoning off sensitive information like personal files, passwords, and financial data. Be very wary-this is undoubtedly a scam!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from BT, insisting they needed to access my router controls.

I received a telephone call from a foreign lady claiming to be with BT, insisting that someone was misusing my broadband connection. I mentioned that I wasn't actually a BT customer. Despite my response, she persisted in urging me to enter a password. When I requested her contact number to call back, I promptly decided against it. I have a strong suspicion that this is all rather suspicious.
