10 yearscalled our office number.12 yearsSupport from Global Impact PC in London - I’ve come across some peculiar characters, but the chap who introduced himself as William Smith has got to be among the strangest! As someone who assembles PCs and installs Windows regularly, I found it rather off-putting when this bloke claimed to be a Windows Live Care technician. He insisted there was an issue with my computer and requested access to 'fix' the non-existent problems. Upon revealing that I’m quite familiar with building PCs, he suddenly asserted that they were all throwing out error codes. To top it off, he cold-called me with a thick accent that made it difficult to follow. I asked him to send me the supposed error codes via email, considering they already had my phone number-perhaps they’ve snatched my email as well, just like Windows usually does!LondonWilliam Smith13 yearsI received a call from an Asian gentleman who was using an English name, which I found rather puzzling. He claimed to be from Windows technical support, attempting to convince me that my computer was infected with viruses. Given my background in the industry, I was well aware that my system was perfectly fine. It was clearly a dishonest ploy to get hold of my money.Submit Your Own Report (020 8144 4173)
