Over the past couple of years, I’ve had multiple calls from these people and ended up paying them. They claimed my computer was under attack and that only they could fix it. Apparently, my Windows was locked and someone was misusing my IP address. They told me since they’d helped me before, McAfee had alerted them about issues on my device. They said if I didn’t let them sort it out, my Windows wouldn’t work anymore. I’m still not certain if it was a scam though, as I also got emails about trying to change some of my passwords.

Got a call about a Canon problem a while back. About five months ago, I got tricked into paying for some tech support. They rang again, saying there was something wrong with my Windows and wanted to access my computer remotely, charging me for it. I wasn't having any of it and refused right away. Then I just wiped any trace of their info and blocked them completely.

I think this person got into my laptop and phone, cause I've lost loads of important stuff since then. I honestly thought they were from HP printers, trying to help me out, but turns out I had no clue who they were. It's awful, cus some of the info was about my husband's mental health and now its gone. Feeling really upset coz I even paid them.

Got a call from a guy named John saying he was from tech support for our Canon printer. He told me my computer was infected and insisted we needed virus protection, which would cost around £140. Was setting up my new HP printer when I got a call from this number. The person said they knew I was struggling with the setup and offered help. We went through some steps together, but something felt off, so I ended up hanging up. Nearly got caught by this, feeling pretty daft about it now!

They called me twice this morning and hung up the moment I picked up. I was in the middle of sorting out my HP printer online, which was taking an eternity, so I had to end the chat. I got a call from this number from a lady who sounded like she might be Chinese, using the name "Tom Millar" which I’ve heard before in a scam. They once pretend to be HP support and tricked me into paying for some dodgy firewall software when I was setting up an HP printer. I had to get my PC fixed properly after that, which wasn’t cheap. Looks like they’re trying to pull the same stunt again on me, knowing I fell for it once. Don’t ever pick up or reply to this number! I’ve reported it to ActionFraud and I’d advise anyone else who’s been scammed by them to do the same.

Just got a call and voicemail from someone pretending to be from HMRC saying there’s a warrant out for me. It’s definitely a scam. This is like the third time I’ve had these fake calls supposedly from HMRC. If you get calls like this, make sure you get in touch with the actual HMRC fraud dept to report everything. I’ve already blocked the number and suggest you do the same.
