7 yearsJust received a rather suspicious phone call, claiming that I was owed a cheque for three thousand pounds from the Ministry of Justice due to excess bank charges. Almost got suckered in! The name they gave for the solicitor was Julie Shaw, who supposedly would deliver the cheque in person. They insisted I needed to purchase an iTunes card worth one hundred and fifty quid as some sort of fee. Naturally, I didn’t fall for it. They’re under the impression I’ve popped to Tesco to make that purchase. What a load of nonsense! The number they rang me from was 020 32872989, and they provided some reference number, GW385. It's absolutely disgraceful!Ministry of JusticeJulie ShawTesco7 yearsUtterly fraudulent! I received a call claiming I'd won a £3000 cheque from the government. This solicitor, going by the name of Julie Shaw, insisted they’d refund me for bank charges dating back to 2011, stating they were associated with the Ministry of Justice. I almost got suckered in completely. They wanted me to purchase a £150 iTunes gift card, promising they’d ring me back in an hour. Well, I’m still waiting for that call. The number they gave me to return the call was 02081443215, but thankfully, I didn’t fall for the scam and buy the card. It’s shocking that these scammers can roam free without consequences. They need to be caught and made to answer for their deceitful actions!Julie ShawMinistry of JusticeSubmit Your Own Report (020 8144 3215)
