Got a call from this number earlier. My phone flagged it as possible spam so I just let it ring. Afterwards, I looked it up here. Cheers for the info, I’ve now blocked and reported it.

Odd phone call I received! I chose not to pick up since I've already noted it down as a potential scam. The phone just wouldn't stop ringing...

Just got a call from this number, no idea who they were. I picked up but couldn’t actually talk. A woman with an Asian accent kept saying ‘hello’ over and over but didn’t say anything about why she was ringing or the name of any company. Strange.

Got a call yesterday and today from someone saying they’re with Sky. They wanted my email, which I stupidly gave, then asked for my mum’s maiden name and first pet’s name - I flat out refused to share that. They rang me again today, and when I said they’d already called, they denied it. Then some bloke came on the line and started arguing before just hanging up on me.

This number called me claiming to be from EE, offering to cut my bill by 40%. When I asked what info they needed, they said my name, postcode, date of birth, and new direct debit info. I quickly told them to buzz off since EE already has my direct debit details, so why would they ask for new ones? Proper scammers!

They purport to represent PC WORLD.
After poking around, it seems they’re pulling a fast one, masquerading as various reputable companies like EE and Vodafone.
Absolute crooks, and their attitude stinks.
My husband flatly declined their nonsense, hung up, and they had the audacity to ring back, hurling obscenities at him. Truly dodgy scammers!

This was a dodgy call claiming to be from EE, they want to grab your info to pass on to someone else who then rings EE pretending to be you. Once they get in, it’s just a matter of time before they start messing with your EE account. Best steer clear of this!

Apparently EE is giving a 40% discount and told me I could upgrade now. I told them I just upgraded last week, so it sounds like they’re trying to scam folks. Got a ring from this number - a woman with an Indian accent said she was from EE. Then she handed me over to a man also sounding Indian, claiming to work in some discount division, offering me a 40% discount. He asked for my email address. I told him if he really worked for EE, he should already have it. He kept going on about the discount though. While he was chatting, I quickly googled and saw it’s a known scam. So, I played along for a bit before hanging up. Don’t share your details unless they can properly verify who you are first.

Some bloke rang saying he was my new UBER Eats account manager (I run a small takeaway) and wanted my account details. I told him that if he was legit, he’d already have that info. He said he didn’t have it ‘for security reasons’ and asked me to give it to him over the phone, which sounded dodgy. Somebody rang me saying they were from O2, saying I'd paid too much and I was due a refund. They asked for my bank info, which seemed strange since they already take payments from my account. I told them to just refund it using the details they have on file, then they started getting pushy, insisting I wouldn’t get the refund unless I gave them my details. They also mentioned getting a cheaper rate but again needed my bank info. I ended the call there. Oddly enough, the number didn’t show as O2 and the caller had a foreign accent.
