Just got a call from someone claiming to be Gabby at Sky, saying they wanted to lower my bill since I’m always punctual with payments. Asked for an email but she stuck strictly to a rigid script and wouldn’t bend at all. Told her I’d wait to see the offer in their email, which they should have sent me by now. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

My phone kept cutting out during the call, and in the background I could hear someone talking in a strange accent, though I couldn’t understand a word. Then they just put the phone down and rang me back, but I didn’t pick up the second time.

someone said they were from carphone warehouse but wouldnt say how they got hold of my number. they kept asking if i already had a mobile contract with anyone. felt a bit dodgy to me.

All I heard was "hello" and nothing more from the call. I checked out the number and it came up as Zooplus, which if I’m right, is a pet food company. I got something from them once before. Seems like they might be trying to drum up business. The number was 02081440151.
