Got a call from a woman speaking with an Asian accent claiming she was from Amazon fraud dept. She mentioned a purchase on my account and asked if I was abroad. Then she said I'd receive a code on WhatsApp and asked me to read it back. I refused, saying it’s advised not to share codes and how can I be sure she’s legit? She offered to prove she was from Amazon with her email and ID number, but I told her I'd ring Amazon through the app myself. She promptly hung up after that. Seemed quite believable until the code request on WhatsApp.
