This person said they were from Vodafone and started going on about some 40% discount. Then they wanted me to verify if I was the account holder. I just said “No” to confuse them. After a long silence, they asked if they could speak to someone else. I told them I didn’t think they were actually from Vodafone and they hung up.

Got a call up here in Scotland from a woman, but the line was really scratchy and the company name sounded something like Networks... It felt a bit dodgy, especially since I’d just been dealing with a firm with a similar name that hasn’t got any proper office in London. The first call was a bit hard to understand, the guy mumbled about some O2 and Virgin merger that might affect my service... then a second call came through with a technical guy who sounded much clearer, and he didn’t even seem bothered when I told him I don’t use the O2 app at all. After nearly seven minutes of this nonsense, I got fed up and told them off for using outdated stolen info, then nicely told him to get lost and go have a good time somewhere else.

Got a call from someone with a strong accent but a very British-sounding name, saying they were from O2 checking if I was satisfied with their service. I told them I wasn’t a customer, and they asked if I’d been moved over from Virgin. I said no, and they sounded proper baffled. I told them to take my number off their system. I reckon they might have been trying to push an upgrade if I was actually an O2 client. Bit worried though, as I used to be with Virgin Mobile but left ages ago. Makes me wonder if my info has been leaked somehow.

I've received six calls in a mere 20 minutes from someone purporting to be from O2. After letting him know I wasn't keen and hanging up, they rang me back, insisting that I had registered an issue with his colleague, which was supposedly quite vital for security reasons. When I inquired about the ‘problem’, he mentioned something about an old SIM card and suggested they could cut me off. I ended the call once more, but despite this, they’d already attempted to reach me three additional times after that, which I've chosen to ignore. It’s all rather intrusive, to say the least.

Someone said they were from O2. Before they could say much, I told them I never agree to calls from any company on my phone. I had to repeat it a few times, then they finally stopped ringing me. It’s worrying because they seemed to know who I’m with for my contract, though maybe they just guessed, I don’t know. I've received a follow-up call that was allegedly from O2, but it was just two days after a previous call from a completely different number. Just a heads-up, O2 never gets in touch directly by phone.
