Got a call earlier today about some loft insulation, seemed like a total scam.

Honestly, just hang up straight away when those Indian scam calls come through. Don’t waste your time with them.

Got a call from this number, and my phone flagged it as potential spam. Decided not to pick up. Seems like they’re still active.

It was a phone call attempting to get me to agree to some O2 contract.

Dodgy phone call for sure! This chap claimed I was tied into a contract with O2, but I’ve got nothing to do with them. The rest of the conversation was just a jumbled mess of thick accent and nonsense.

Somebody rang claiming to be from 02, saying I'd got a 40% discount because of Christmas. They even mentioned my email, which was right, so I thought it was legit. They texted me a code that seemed to come from 02 and asked me to read it back to them. After that, they kept pushing me to upgrade my phone, even though I kept saying no. I hung up, but they just kept ringing back nonstop. Turns out it was a scam. I called 02 straight away and they helped me lock down my account and sort everything out.

Got a call from someone who sounded Indian, saying he had some special offer linked to O2 and Virgin. I told him twice that I don't use O2 but he just kept going on. After I told him again it was pointless, he just hung up on me.

Had one call me a while back claiming to be from 02, said good morning but I replied it’s actually afternoon here. Didn’t take long before he just ended the call. They’re always fibbing about where they’re from. Honestly, best thing to do is block or just ignore them. Or if you fancy, drag the convo out, chat about silly things like how many biscuits your dog ate or that the neighbour’s got some wild curtains and wallpaper combo. They can’t keep up with nonsense like that! Just keep rambling rubbish till they hang up on you first. Always makes me crack up!

Got a call from a call centre claiming it was O2’s customer service. They were saying they’re reaching out to customers to enhance relations and offer some Black Friday deals. I asked them why they were ringing me as I already have a deal. Then the caller said they could save me money and slash my monthly bill by 40%. They asked if I was the account holder. I said yes but made it clear I wouldn’t give any details over the phone. After that, the call was cut off. Up to you what you make of it.

I got a call from a number that seemed linked to O2 sales or something like that. Not entirely sure, but it definitely felt like a sales pitch.

I received a call from a number claiming to be O2, supposedly discussing some new contract information. The chap insisted that I had an existing contract with them.

I promptly informed him that I didn't, but he maintained that his records showed otherwise. Curiously, I enquired how he obtained my number, to which he offered some spiel about a 40% discount on a fresh O2 contract and mentioned an upcoming merger with Virgin Media.

Once more, I clarified that I wasn't an O2 customer. That was the last straw for him, as he hung up shortly after.

I’m rather anxious about the charges for this landline number. I've received two calls from it but have chosen not to ring back. There wasn’t any voicemail left, so it can’t be of much significance, can it?
