Got an email supposedly from this number saying I bought some anti malware firewall thingy and paid with PayPal. Problem is, I don’t even have a PayPal account! They told me to ring if I changed my mind, so I did. Bad idea. The person on the phone wasn’t great at English and told me to download some app I never heard of. Then they asked me to get 10 Amazon gift cards. No clue what for. After a few minutes, I just hung up. Then I rang Amazon straight away to let them know about the scam, followed by a call to my bank to report the fraud. Stay clear of this!

I got an email with some weird code about a purchase I never did, so I reported it to BT’s phishing team. There was a phone number in the email too, but I didn’t bother calling it ’cause I knew it was dodgy.

Got an email saying my referral account was charged £345 for an assignment with a verification code included. It told me to call 4402081355141 if I didn’t approve the charge to cancel the account. Seemed like a total scam, so I reported it as phishing to the authorities and blocked the sender straight away.

Got an email claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there was some sort of PayPal payment problem. The phone number they gave looked legit but I reckon it’s a scam. Definitely don’t ring the number or click anything in the email if you don’t want to risk getting caught out.

Got an email saying money was taken from my PayPal, but the sender’s address was some dodgy Microsoft-looking one. Tried ringing the number they gave but it was a total scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

Funny thing, I got another email from the same number but on a different email I own, again saying it's from Windows. I tried calling them back using the 141 code to hide my number, but they just didn't pick up. Maybe they're scared of having their number hidden? Either way, gave me a chance to think about what I'd say if I ever got through!

I got an email pretending to be from Microsoft about some Windows issue, but it was obviously just a scam. The way they worded it was so dodgy, no way was it legit. Definitely just spam trying to phish info or something.
