I just got an dodgy email that claimed to be from eBay, saying something about ordering an iPhone. Can you believe it? The order was said to be for a grand! Clearly, they were trying to fish for my banking info. The thing is, I've never placed any such order at all!

so I never got a call but instead got an email to an old email of mine that I barely check, supposedly from ebay saying I’d bought an iPhone for more than a thousand quid and I should call a number they gave. obviously a scam. the weird thing is they used a landline number. why haven’t the cops dealt with this? it feels like they’re just letting these fraudsters carry on. makes you wonder why the police aren’t stepping in, doesn’t it?

I got a call, said it was from e-bay about buying an iPhone, but it was a complete rip-off. Don’t bother calling them back, it’s definitely a scam.

Got a dodgy email pretending to be from eBay saying I supposedly purchased something pricey. They told me to ring them if I thought it was a mistake. Pretty sure it’s a scam, so definitely don’t phone those numbers!

Got a dodgy email saying I bought a £1400 iPhone through eBay. I haven't ringed the number yet, but it looks like it's probably a premium line to scam you. Definitely a bit suspicious.

Got a dodgy call claiming I’d spent more than £1000 on an iPhone through eBay, but I’ve never even set up an eBay account. Total scam as far as I’m concerned.
