The man on the phone then mentioned some insurance that would cover repayments if I lost my job or got sick. He said it would cost £115, and if I never needed to use it, the money would be returned once the loan was finished. However, he insisted I pay that £115 upfront before the loan could go ahead. Something felt a bit dodgy, so I told him I couldn’t pay anything right now and asked for the company’s official name. Then I looked them up online and ended up here on this website. Later on, they phoned again asking for an extra £1.23, claiming they could only transfer £1500 in chunks of £500. I told them straight I couldn’t pay more as that was all the cash I had.
