Some bloke claiming to be Jason from the Ministry of Justice rang me up, saying I was owed £9640 because of some tax and VAT stuff I'd supposedly overpaid. He wanted my sort code and bank details to sort it out. I wasn’t having any of that, so I told him to send me a cheque for the money along with a proper letter. After that, he just hung up on me.

Just had a weird call from some bloke named Jason Smith claiming to be with the British Government’s Ministry of Justice. Told me I’m supposed to get repaid like £9,000 or something because of the bank crash ages ago and taxes we've paid. Sounded ridiculous to me. He handed over a phone number and an extension plus some sort of code to say back, then asked for my bank info. I ended the call right there. Complete nonsense!

I got a call from someone saying they were from the UK Ministry of Justice. Seemed a bit dodgy if you ask me. Definitely wouldn't trust them without checking properly first.
