12 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from a chap identifying himself as Jason, allegedly representing the Ministry of Justice. He mentioned that I was entitled to receive £9,640, supposedly linked to some tax refunds, including VAT that I had settled. The rather dubious request was for my sort code and bank details. Naturally, I declined to provide such sensitive information! I suggested he send me a proper cheque along with a formal letter regarding this matter. At that point, the conversation abruptly ended. Quite the dodgy encounter, if you ask me!JasonMinistry of Justice12 yearsWhat a complete and utter nonsense! I received a phone call from a chap claiming to be Jason Smith, purporting to represent the Ministry of Justice for the UK Government. Apparently, we’re in line to receive a reimbursement of over £9,000, which they say is owed to us from the aftermath of the banking crisis! It’s supposedly linked to the taxes we’ve paid over the years. Ridiculous, isn't it? I was instructed to call a specific number with a strange extension and a code to recite, after which they insisted on my banking information. And just like that, the call ended!Jason SmithMinistry of JusticeUK12 yearsThis number purports to be affiliated with the Ministry of Justice in the UK.Ministry of JusticeUKSubmit Your Own Report (020 8133 7248)
