020 3631 8133 - picked up only to hear a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC saying I'd been flagged for tax fraud and that if I didn’t talk to someone right away, I’d get arrested. Waited for an “HMRC agent” to come on, and when they did, they asked what they could do for me. I told them they called me, so they should have the details already. Then they just ended the call.

020 8133 5929 called me claiming to be from Visa, saying that £600 had just been sent to China! Coincidently, it was the exact same amount as a earlier call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying I made a purchase. Utterly fraudulent! The individual who rang me claiming to be Sarah Wilson had a rather pronounced accent that sounded quite foreign. It’s worth noting that the Inland Revenue would never resort to using intimidation tactics. I’ve promptly blocked the number now. Got a call from this number telling me I owed £4,752 for some tax mistake and that I was going to court soon. They said I was at the final step or something like that. Naturally, I rang HMRC on their official number and they told me my tax was all sorted, nothing wrong at all. So yeah, it's definitely a scam. Got a call from someone claiming to be Chris Lantern from HMRC - total scam! They wanted my solicitor’s info and personal stuff, saying I messed up my taxes from 2013 to 2016 and I’m being sued. Proper dodgy. The minute I said “This is a scam” they just cut the call. Yeah, got a message from some fraudsters pretending to be HMRC the other day. They even phoned me a few days ago from another number (02035751355). It felt pretty intimidating and I can imagine how terrifying it could be for someone who’s not so tech-savvy or vulnerable.

Totally feels like a scam to me. I tried ringing them back but from a blocked number (I do enjoy giving scammers a piece of my mind), and it just wouldn’t go through. Bit of a let down not being able to have a proper chat with them!

Some folks might find this really frightening. Best thing is to just block and ignore. It's beyond me why the police can’t track these scammers down and give them a proper punishment.

Today I received a phone call claiming to be from HMRC, warning me that if I ignored the call or my lawyer didn’t reach out to them, I’d have to deal with serious legal issues. It felt pretty intimidating at first and honestly made me a bit anxious. Before I did anything, I decided to look up the number online to see if it was legit - and that’s how I ended up here.

Just like everyone else, I ended the call straight away. The caller said she was Sarah Wilson from HMRC, but honestly, I doubt they'd be using a robotic voice with an American accent and phrases. Proper numpties.

I received a call from them too. However, before I returned their call, I discovered it was all dodgy. So, I decided to let them ramble on about the reason for their call, which they claimed was legitimate, but I quickly pointed out that it seemed rather phoney. The moment I called it out, they hung up on me!

Got a recorded message from someone called Sarah Wilson, claiming to be from HMRC. This is the third time they’ve tried with a new number and a different name each time. I’ve reported all the details to the ICO and reckon everyone else should do the same to stop these scams.

So I got a call from this number, and when I asked who it was since they never said, they went on about being from HMRC. Yeah, right, sounds like a total scam to me. These sort of calls should be tracked down and dealt with properly. If they keep ignoring the warnings, they deserve the full force of the law hitting them back. It’s really risky, especially for older folks or anyone who doesn’t bother checking the number online. Honestly, can’t anyone figure out who they are or trace them from their phone details? It’s shocking how people get away with this stuff.

So, some bloke named Chris rang me, definitely not an automated voice. Total scam, kept pushing me to pay right away or else. When I asked for a proper explanation of the charges and started getting a bit sceptical, they abruptly cut the call. Since then, they’ve ignored all my return calls. Proper dodgy.

Just like others have mentioned, it boggles my mind why the big phone companies don’t put a stop to these calls. The number they used in London has to come from a provider, so surely the telecom firms should be the ones to block these incoming nuisance calls. It’s frustrating that nothing seems to be done about it!
