I suspect I’ve fallen victim to a scam! I transferred £225 via Paysafe as instructed by a caller. I had reached out to a company a while back regarding checking my cards for any potential PPI claims, so I genuinely thought this was above board. I’m absolutely fuming and plan to alert the authorities about this fraudulent activity.

I've been inundated with calls from the same number, claiming there’s a cheque awaiting me for a mis-sold PPI refund that they wish to hand over in person. However, they insist on a £150 payment via a paysafecard first. I've firmly told them to leave me alone, yet I keep receiving calls from various individuals on separate occasions, some of whom have been downright hostile and rather unpleasant. All these callers seem to have foreign accents despite providing English names. Is there any way to put an end to this persistent harassment?

I recently got a phone call from a mysterious number, and when I questioned it, I was told it belonged to someone from the dispatch department of the London City Council. They claimed they needed to have a word with my disabled mum regarding a cheque they were supposedly looking to send her. However, once I pushed back a bit, and since I have a background in the police force-which I made clear-the caller turned quite hostile, demanding I put my mother on the line. Total charlatans, if you ask me!

I’ve recently had a rather peculiar phone call from a chap claiming he wished to settle a compensation amount of £3800.50 for an incident involving my husband that took place more than a year back. He insisted it would only happen if I procured a Paysafe card and reassured me that he would remit £200 straight away. Who on earth are these characters?
