Got a call from 00191777990 claiming to be online tech support saying my computer had problems they could repair. They also gave me this number 02081444008 trying to make it seem like they worked for Microsoft. They were quite pushy but I didn't buy it. The person said their name was Victoria Xia with a licence number beginning 888DCA60. After seeing some other posts here, it's clear this is a scam. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away.

It began with a call claiming to be Microsoft Support, then was transferred to two other numbers, this being the final one. They sounded really convincing and seemed to know an answer for everything I asked. They convinced me to pay up, saying my computer was infected with thousands of viruses. I doubt I'll see that money again.

Some guy named Jay claiming to be from On Line Support rang me about a security issue on my PC (hilarious since it wasnt even turned on), I told him I was tied up and would ring later. He gave me the number 02081335558 but the incoming call ID on my phone showed it as a local number. Strange!

Got a call from some guy named Sam saying he was from "Online Support" about an issue with my PC. Thing is, I’m not having any problems with it. The number looked local on my caller ID, but when I asked him to give a contact number for the "computer owner" so I could call back, he gave me 020 8133 5558. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

Some woman named Candice Martin rang my home phone saying there was some virus on my PC and telling me to press control plus the windows key together. I found it fishy straight away so asked her some questions. She claimed she worked for Online Support Limited, phoning from 02081335558, and even read out my supposed Microsoft licence number, asking me to enter it on my computer. I refused everything and told her not to ring back.

Someone claiming to be Jones Morris from Microsoft told me my computer had loads of errors. I asked for his phone number and he gave me 02081335558. The weird thing is, my phone showed the caller as 01564776541! Definitely a dodgy scam like others have said.

Some bloke from India calling himself "William James" somehow found out my CLSID and started showing me errors and warnings in the event viewer. I was a bit suspicious, didn’t really trust him, and after a while he gave up and handed me off to someone called "Victoria Xia". I looked her up and she seems to work at Microsoft. Then she asked to control my computer to show the problem. No way was I letting that happen!

I got a call from some bloke called John claiming he worked for a firm linked to Microsoft. When I asked him for their company registration number, he just gave me his phone number instead - total scammer, no doubt. It’s quite funny actually, coz my phone shows 01902897952, but when I rang it back, it said it doesn’t accept calls from unknown numbers. Guess I’ll do the same with that dodgy number!

I got a call around 9.30 this morning on 16 Feb 2021 from a lady called Jessica claiming she was from Microsoft. She said my computer was in grave danger. A few days back, I got a call from a lady with a Filipino accent claiming to be from "Online Support Limited," and she said her name was Sarah Handler. When I mentioned my computer was actually in the boot of my car in the garage, she said she'd ring back in a few days. Today, 03/11/2020, she called again and I pretended the person she was after wasn't home but I could take a message. She gave me the number 0208 133 5558, which turns out to be a dodgy number. I didn’t mind wasting her time by playing along a bit.

My dad got caught out by one of these pop-ups saying he had an IP address problem, so he rang the number on the screen before he got in touch with me. They said they were from Microsoft Italy or something. Luckily, he’s quite hard of hearing and didn’t quite catch what they were saying, so he ended up hanging up.

Like loads of others have said, I got a call from a Sarah Jones claiming to be from Online Support Limited warning me about some virus on my PC. She mentioned their company postcode as TW1 3JC and gave me a phone number to check them out - 02081335558. The weird thing was the call showed my local area code. When I told her I'd have a pro check my computer, she said that no one else would spot the problem!!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Liana Morris from Online Support, saying they needed into my laptop to fix Microsoft Update problems. They gave a London address and phone number, but the call actually came from a Surrey number 01428 684819. The person was on the phone for about ten minutes, really pushy and trying to sound legit, but as soon as I started asking tech questions, they just ended the call. Best steer clear of this!

My dad, who’s quite old, got a call from some woman with an accent saying there was a serious issue with his computer, even though it hasn’t been switched on in ages. His carer picked up and just noted down the message, which said he needs to ring 02081335558 for urgent help with the computer. Luckily, he’s been caught out by scams before, so he didn’t take the bait.

i just got a call from 02081335558, a woman called Lucy who sounded like she wasn’t from here. she claimed she was from online support limited, supposedly linked to microsoft. she said my computer was full of viruses and asked for my ID number. i told her she should be ashamed for trying to trick honest folks like me and mentioned i work with the police. she just hung up on me!!! these scammers seriously wind me up so much.

Total scam. The caller ID shows up as a local number. When I asked for their number, they gave 0208 133 5558. Better not ring back, it could cost a bomb.

Right, so once again it’s a scam, trying to trick you into handing over your details and money. Like others mentioned, I got a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Online Support Ltd, a "trusted Microsoft company". The number looked local, so I’m guessing they use some spoofing app or VPN. Don’t share anything - just mess with them and see how long they stick around before quitting. Managed to keep her chatting for 7 minutes today and she sounded well confused. Not expecting another call anytime soon!

Just like others here, I got a call from a woman named Emma, who had an Indian accent and said she was from Online Support Ltd based in Brentford, London, 78 York Street. She claimed there was some issue with my computer and asked me to switch it on. She was pretty pushy, insisting the problem was buried deep in the system and that other techs wouldn’t notice it. I kept her on the line until she eventually gave up. This sort of thing really needs sorting out, cos lots of people could easily fall for this scam.

I recently answered a call on my rarely used ex-directory landline, which caught me quite off guard. The caller had a female voice, possibly with an Indian accent, claiming to be from a company called Online Support Ltd, purportedly located on York Street in London. She stated that they were collaborating with Windows and had supposedly detected some dubious activity linked to my computer. She inquired whether my PC had received any recent updates from Windows, but when I pressed for details on how she acquired my contact information, her responses became repetitive, mainly centred around the Windows/server/PC spiel. It immediately raised my suspicions; I strongly believe she would have attempted to harvest my personal data and gain remote access to install malware if I had engaged further. At one point, she was noticeably unprofessional, exclaiming, "as I've already mentioned to you..." which was a clear indicator of her disingenuousness. I know for certain that there’s no feasible way for her to have obtained my landline number. Furthermore, a legitimate company under the name Online Support, based in Brentford, has a warning about cold callers on their site. This crew seems to be relying on their unethical tactics to exploit someone unsuspecting.

I got a call from some online support team claiming they could sort out an issue with my PC. Thing is, my computer's fine, so I just ignored the call. If they ring back, they’re gonna get an earful from me for wasting my time.

Had a call from someone named Victoria using a nearby number, telling me my laptop had serious problems. She was dead set on making it sound legit, pressure was on to get me to log in straight away. Being pretty suspicious, I grilled her with questions and felt like I nearly got taken in. She gave me a number to ring back, which I noted down. After seeing all the comments here, I'm glad I trusted my gut feeling. Ended the call before getting caught in what now seems like a total load of rubbish. Honestly, these scammers deserve a good dose of karma!

So, I had a look into 'online support' and it turns out it’s a total scam. There’s an actual company named Online Support based in Brentford, and they’re fully aware that people are getting fooled by this fake version. Pretty sure this Edward Shelby character isn’t even part of the legit company. Seems dodgy all round.

I find it odd how many negative comments there are about this number. My interactions with them have actually been really good and quite impressive. Hoping to use their service again sometime soon.

I got a phone call from a woman who mentioned this number, and honestly, I was a bit nervous at first. However, she showed me all the proper credentials and ended up setting up protection on both my laptops. I’m really happy with how they handled everything and the way they worked on my devices.

When I rang back, the person claimed to be from Microsoft support. I mentioned I use Norton Security through HSBC, but he just said it wouldn’t work with Windows at all!

I don’t usually write in with praise, but I felt I should make an exception this time. Big thanks to Edward Shelby, one of your team members, who helped me sort out a tricky issue with my email getting hacked. It was causing quite a bit of stress and could’ve led to major trouble. Edward managed to fix everything in under half an hour, showing loads of skill and know-how. The whole experience was really positive - proper top-notch support. I received an email alerting me that my account may have been hacked and suggested I call this number. I haven’t done so, as I'm uncertain whether it’s a legitimate concern or just a clever ruse. The number in question is 02081335558.

I gotta say, the help I got was super friendly and really professional, plus it came right when I needed it. They were seriously on the ball and made things so easy. It’s not often you run into this kind of skilled support when dealing with tech stuff. Whenever I’ve got email problems, I always just drop them an email for help. Edward Shelby, in particular, was brilliant at sorting out every single issue I was having with my email.

Last week I got a call from a woman at this company repeating the same old script. Then today a bloke called himself James and gave a number 02081335558. I’d already looked up the real company info before and knew straight away it was dodgy. He said they were located in Marylebone, London but that’s not where the legit company is at all.
