02081334214 Summary (Read all comments)
Phone number ☎️ 02081334214 👆 is reported as a scam number where callers, often claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice or financial ombudsman, inform individuals they are owed money due to bank overpayments. The callers typically insist on paying a fee via iTunes vouchers to release the funds, which is a known fraud tactic. Many victims mention an Indian-accented caller using various names and showing some personal details to appear legitimate. Vulnerable and elderly people are frequent targets, with some callers aggressively pursuing payments or continuing contact despite requests to stop. Legitimate organisations do not request fees or payments by voucher and do not call unexpectedly to offer refunds. Users are strongly advised not to share any personal or bank information and to ignore such calls.

9 yearsSeems like I've been taken for a ride by this dodgy character, apparently there's a sum of £3500 that’s supposed to be mine. Yet here I am, still twiddling my thumbs and waiting.9 yearsAn elderly pal of mine, who's reached the grand age of 85, recently received a call from a rather dubious character named Thomas King, claiming to be a solicitor. He informed her that she was owed the sum of £2,500 due to some alleged bank overcharging. This call came from a number that supposedly belongs to the Ministry of Justice's claims resolution and management department! To my relief, she had the good sense not to divulge any of her bank information. Upon my own inquiry, I was fed some absolute nonsense. These sorts of scams need to be put to an end!Thomas KingMinistry of Justice9 yearsMy dad was lured into purchasing £150 in iTunes vouchers by a chap who claimed to be Sam Grant, ringing from this number. Thankfully, I stepped in just before he could extract another £450 from him. The bloke alleged he was with the Ministry of Justice and insisted that my father was due a tax refund connected to some loan he'd taken out, but he'd need to fork out for a solicitor first. When I told him to leave my father alone, he became quite aggressive and insisted he would ring again. After I blocked his number, he just switched to a different one and kept on trying. My father’s had to disconnect his phone entirely to avoid this pest, which unfortunately means no one can reach him now. It's absolutely appalling how cruel some people can be!!!Sam GrantMinistry of Justice9 yearsDo not share any financial information with this chap, it’s clearly a scam! I'm going to keep an eye on my phone bill to find out how much they've charged me for this call.9 yearsI received a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from financial services, who insisted that I had previously taken out a home improvement loan. When I inquired about the source of this information, he stated it was from Lloyds Bank. The thing is, I’ve never had any dealings with Lloyds in that regard. Eventually, he conceded that his details were incorrect. Clearly, this was a dodgy operation.Lloyds BankLloyds9 yearsI recently received a rather peculiar telephone call from this number. To my astonishment, the caller apparently had access to my complete banking information and mentioned something about transferring a sum of £2,500 into my account, just like that! It's all very dubious.9 yearsI received a call on a bank holiday from someone claiming to be from the "Ministry of Justice." Who on earth works for the government on a bank holiday? Naturally, I ended up disconnecting the call. He rang me repeatedly after that, and I finally decided to answer. He went on about how my bank supposedly owes me £3,500, and a solicitor was meant to visit me in person to hand it over. This chap, who had a noticeable Indian accent, had my address and date of birth, and kept advising me not to share my banking information over the phone, as if I’d ever consider that. It'll be intriguing to see if this "solicitor" actually turns up. When I probed the caller about the catch, he insisted there was none-except that I’d need to fork out £175 for the tax authorities!Ministry of Justice9 yearsHonestly, it’s nothing but a blatant scam! Legitimate agencies would never ring from a call centre like that. I told them to drop a letter in the post since I claimed I didn’t have access to a computer (which is a fib, of course), and they were utterly flummoxed, saying it wasn’t an option because no one else had asked for it. Can you believe that? It's infuriating!9 yearsMy aged father got a rather dubious call informing him he was due a payment of £3,000 from the Financial Ombudsman due to having overpaid interest on a loan. The strange part is, he's never taken out a loan in his life! Thankfully, he was wise enough not to share any personal information and passed the call on to me, as I'm the one looking after his affairs. They attempted the same trick with me as well!Financial Ombudsman9 yearsEarlier today, I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice. The individual introduced himself as Steven Anderson, and his accent was distinctly Indian. He assured me that he was going to refund some money that I apparently had overpaid to my bank. He requested my date of birth, along with my account details and address, which I naively provided. According to him, the funds had already been transferred and I should expect to see them show up in my account by tomorrow. Well, here I am, and there’s absolutely nothing in my account as of yet! It’s bewildering to think how these callers seem so sincere, yet it’s all a front, isn’t it? I’m left wondering what’s going to unfold next. Why do they insist on putting people through this sort of anguish?Ministry of JusticeSteven Anderson9 yearsMy partner received a rather odd phone call from this number, claiming she was entitled to a refund from an old bank account due to some overcharges. Strangely, they didn't ask for any bank details or personal info, but insisted she needed to purchase an iTunes card worth £175. They promised a solicitor would come by with a cheque for her to deposit alongside the iTunes card. It’s all quite suspicious, if you ask me! Has anyone else encountered something similar? The previous bank was Abbey National, if that's relevant.Abbey National9 yearsI suspect this number is dodgy. They claimed to be the banking ombudsman and started pushing me to mention ITUNES CARD. As soon as that came up, I decided enough was enough and ended the call.Submit Your Own Report (020 8133 4214)
