2 yearsTotal rip-off, don’t waste your time with it.2 yearsJust like everyone else, I found myself on the receiving end of a call from an Indian chap who insisted he was representing O2. He tried to convince me to switch my sim from O2 to Virgin, promising that a new one would arrive shortly. He then asked for my account details, to which I replied that he ought to share his information with me first, a request he was rather reluctant to fulfil. When I branded him a scammer, he took great offence and promptly ended the call. Quite amusingly, I’m not even an O2 customer!Virgin2 yearsJust like a few others have said, I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from o2. They wanted to switch my sim from o2 to virgin and said the new sim would arrive soon. They asked for my account info but when I asked them to prove their identity, they refused. I called them out as a scammer, which seemed to annoy them, and then they ended the call. Funny thing is, I’m not even an o2 customer.Virgin2 yearsThey claimed to be calling from Virgin. I told them straight up I was onto their scam and not interested. They kept insisting I believed them. Then the guy said I was being recorded. I went along with it and said go ahead and record. After that, he started swearing at me, which just gave it away that he wasn’t legit - no genuine Virgin rep would talk like that. Then he just ended the call.Virgin2 yearsGot a call pretending to be O2 about some SIM offer, sounded like a total scam to me.2 yearsI got a call from 02081333249 and at first they were mentioning something about SIM cards. I ended the call pretty quick, but then they rang me again. I just didn’t pick up the second time.2 yearsReceived a call purporting to be from O2, but I couldn't be bothered to stick around and listen. My wife and I seem to get these calls daily! It's become quite tiresome.2 yearsI received a call informing me that my Virgin SIM card is set to cease functioning in a week. They were keen on persuading me to purchase a new one. Interestingly, it seems they were unaware that Virgin Mobile has been acquired by O2. Quite the surprising bit of news, isn't it?Virgin SIMVirgin MobileO22 yearsGot a call just like the one I got yesterday from 02039898556, said it was 'VirginMedia/O2' about my SIM possibly being blocked. Seems like a dodgy scam but not 100% sure. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number anyway. Already mentioned a similar experience on this site before.Virgin MediaO22 yearsReceived a rather alarming call claiming to be from Virgin Media/02, warning me that my SIM card was on the verge of being suspended. I firmly requested they cease contacting me, yet lo and behold, they rang again moments later with the same nonsense. As I'm not a customer of o2, it's quite clear this is just a scam.Virgin Media / 022 yearsSomeone keeps calling claiming to be from O2, saying they need to update my SIM card or something like that. It's really suspicious.Submit Your Own Report (020 8133 3249)
