I had a rather dodgy experience when I rang Canon regarding a printer issue. An individual claimed to be from Canon and offered to assist me, but I started to feel uneasy when he suggested taking control of my computer remotely. When I declined that, he got rather irate, accusing me of wasting his precious time! I then asked him to provide some proof of his affiliation with Canon, and it only escalated from there-he became aggressively rude. Just a heads-up, keep your wits about you with this number.

Today, I had the pleasure of receiving two calls from this number and a handful of missed ones prior. Curious, I decided to ring them back and inquire about the identity of the caller. An Indian gentleman picked up and requested my name, which I politely declined to provide. I pointed out that they had contacted me, so I expected them to disclose who I was and what their business was. He then asked me to hold for a moment while he checked which “department” was reaching out, only to inform me it was the department of justice and that I was due a refund. I told him he was talking nonsense and asked him to refrain from calling me again. I’ve since blocked the number.

Much like Ruth's experience, I've been hounded by this number for ages now. Eventually, I picked up the phone only to find myself chatting with an Indian chap who called himself Kelvin Bell, claiming to represent the Ministry of Justice. He was fully aware of my personal information and insisted that I was due to receive a cheque for some PPI recompense today. However, to release the payment, he told me I needed to purchase a Ukash Voucher for tax purposes. Apparently, both the voucher and the cheque were meant to be delivered to my bank later today by a solicitor. It's quite interesting how this number closely matches others on this website and shares an almost identical narrative... - caller: Kelvin Bell

I had been receiving relentless calls from this number, so I decided to pick up. On the other end was a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be Kelvin Bell from the Ministry of Justice. He rattled off all my personal information and went on about how I was due a cheque for a PPI refund today. However, he insisted that I needed to buy a Ukash Voucher to cover the tax, which would supposedly be paid alongside the cheque that a solicitor would be delivering to my home later today. This number bears a striking resemblance to several listed on this site, and the whole spiel sounds eerily familiar... - speaker: Kelvin Bell.
