Loads of unknown 020 numbers keep calling me, and this was just another one. Didn’t pick up, just went straight to block. So annoying!

Received a rather alarming call from this number earlier today. An automated voice claimed to be from HMRC, alleging there was a fraudulent case linked to my name and urging me to press 1 without delay. I strongly advise against picking up the phone if you see this number calling and whatever you do, avoid complying with their prompts-just hang up if you do happen to answer. It’s nothing more than a scam aimed at scaring you. Stay vigilant!

Got a call that just lasted for about 15 seconds, then it suddenly stopped. Pretty sure it was one of those automatic dialling systems from some call centre.

If you happen to receive a call from this number, I highly recommend just hanging up without engaging. It’s nothing more than a dodgy scam aimed at pilfering funds from your bank account. Stay safe!

Today I got a voicemail from 0208 133 2759. This isnt from HMRC, its a scam using a cloned number. I’ve informed the right authorities since I used to work for HMRC. Honestly, they would never contact you about fraud like this. These scammers want to trick you into paying fake bills. It’s the second message I’ve gotten from them. Don’t pick up even if you’re dealing with HMRC issues. I’ve also reported it to the fraud hotline. The worst thing is no one knows where these crooks are because they use cloned phone numbers.

Ugh, these lot have called me so many times now, I’ve lost count! They’re always swapping just one number in their phone digits which drives me nuts. I don’t even pick up anymore, I just block each new number as soon as it rings. Honestly, I need patience for this!

I got a call on my mobile from 02081 332 2759 today, 30th September, but I couldn't pick up. After reading what others have said about this number, I'm going to block it straight away. Cheers to everyone who posted their experiences.

Got a call from someone saying I was about to be arrested by HMRC. I told them I'd just make a brew and wait by the door. They hung up sharpish after that. Tried calling back but the number didn’t let me ring through.

This number rang me up claiming something about HMRC fraud linked to my phone line. When they asked for my name, I told them they should already have it if they’re calling me. Then I asked the woman her name, thinking I’d verify things with HMRC directly. She went silent and then suddenly ended the call. It’s obviously a scam, don’t let them trick you. If HMRC needs to reach you, they’ll send official letters through the post.

Just got a call from 02081332759 claiming to be HMRC, but it’s a total scam using a cloned number. I used to work for HMRC, so I’m pretty certain about this. They don’t phone people about any fraud or unpaid bills. These fraudsters try to trick you into paying fake invoices. This is the second message they've left me now. Don’t pick up, even if you’re dealing with HMRC problems. I’ve already alerted the fraud team, and you should report it too. Sadly, it’s impossible to track these scammers since they use cloned phone numbers from who knows where.

This HMRC scam is really old, almost as long-running as those Microsoft tech support call scams. Still, it seems to work since these fraudsters keep at it. It's important to report every scam call you get here and also on '<a href="https://www[.]actionfraud[.]police[.]uk/report-phishing">Action Fraud</a>'. Reporting only takes a minute but helps raise awareness. The police need to know just how widespread these scam calls are.

Just a heads up about a possible scam using this number. I got a call from here earlier today where an automated message said it was HMRC, asking me to press 1 to continue. After I did, a guy claimed he was ringing from the Royal Courts of Justice on behalf of HMRC. He said I supposedly owed nearly £1,500 and needed to pay straight away via bank transfer or else I'd face legal action. Then the phone cut off suddenly, and later they rang me back from 020 7947 6000, the actual Royal Courts of Justice number. Be careful with calls like this!

I got a call from the number 0208 1332759, supposedly from HMRC, sayin that if I don’t press 1 they’ll issue a warrant for my arrest because I’m involved in some fraud case. Sounded pretty dodgy to me.

I got a call like this today as well - some robotic voice said I’m under fraud investigation and if I don’t press 1, I’ll be arrested. I’ve never done anything wrong with HMRC and can’t imagine they’d use calls like this to warn people, but it still freaked me out a bit. Glad to find others have had the same experience on here. My partner found it funny when I told him I was anxious, but honestly, it made me uneasy!

Got a call from some automated voice claiming to be from HMRC saying there was fraud on my account. They said I had to press one right away or I’d be arrested soon with a warrant out for me. Total scam, no way I was falling for that! Didn’t press anything and just blocked the number straight away 🤬🤬🤬

Watch out for loads of fake HMRC calls going round! There’s scammers pretending to be from HMRC trying all sorts of tricks to get cash from unsuspecting folks. People end up under heaps of pressure to hand over their card info, which the conmen then use to steal money straight out of their bank accounts.

Just received a dodgy call that claimed to be from HMRC. It was an automated message insisting that I owed them cash and if I didn’t hit #1 right away, they’d send the police round to arrest me. Yeah, right! I promptly ended the call.

Got a ring from this number claiming there was some sort of HMRC fraud linked to my phone line. They asked me for my name, and I told them they should already know since they called me. The woman got really quiet when I asked for her name, and as I said I’d get in touch with HMRC myself, she just hung up straight away. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it. If HMRC needs to contact you, they’ll send a proper letter through the post.

If you get a dodgy phone call, you can assist HMRC's efforts by sharing a few details: 1. your own phone number 2. the number that called you 3. when the call happened (date & time) 4. a short summary of what the call was about You can send this info to the HMRC phishing team at: [email protected]

Oh, this one was a laugh! Got a recorded call saying it was from HMRC, threatening me with an arrest warrant if I didn’t press 1 right away. They really meant business, or so they claimed! Just for fun, I hit one to see what might go down. Nope, didn’t get through to anyone. Tried ringing the same number back and, surprise surprise, it went straight to nowhere. Totally a spam call, nothing legit about it.
