I received a rather peculiar call just the other day. The person on the other end had quite a pronounced Asian accent, inquiring whether I had received my parcel of ice cream. It was all a bit baffling, to be honest, and I struggled to comprehend what she was going on about, so I ended the call. Soon after, she called me back and claimed that I hadn’t settled my bill at Ice Cream Republic the day before. I told her straight that I hadn’t a clue what she was on about, insisting I’d never set foot in that establishment. She pressed me for information, asking where I had been the previous day. At that point, I decided it was best to cut the conversation short.

I recently received a rather dubious call from someone claiming they've got a cheque waiting for me-allegedly £2,800-due to a road accident from way back in 2011, supposedly from the county court. The moment I pressed them on their legitimacy, especially after mentioning my background as a former police officer, they abruptly ended the call. Quite clearly, it's a scam. I do wonder just how many individuals fall prey to these crooks with their push for such vouchers. It’s high time something was done about this sort of nonsense!

I received a voicemail from a gentleman with an Asian accent claiming that I’ve been awarded £2800 for a PPI reimbursement related to the Royal Bank of Scotland. I’m in the process of claiming this amount. I tried ringing back, but no one picked up. He mentioned he was calling from The City County Court in London. Could this possibly be legitimate?
