Whenever EE rings me up, I end up getting bombarded with loads of phishing and scam calls. I've got a legit issue with my EE account, and this scam bother is just the last thing I want. It’s like my number's been sold off AGAIN. Honestly, just block all those scam calls immediately.

Got a call from somebody saying they were with O2, telling me they were cutting down customers’ bills because lots had been moaning about prices being too steep. Then they asked for my email to send some sort of confirmation. I told them they ought to have my email on their system already and just ended the call.

this is a typical scam. dont trust strangers who ring you out of the blue saying theres a problem with your internet or pc and offer to sort it out. if you let them follow their steps, they’ll get control of your machine and everything on it. next thing you know, your bank account could be wiped and your personal info nicked. if you’re unsure, just hang up and find the official number yourself to check it out.

Today I got a call from a guy saying he was from BT, telling me to turn off then on all my WiSi gear to scan for viruses. He spoke with an Indian accent. When I asked for his name and number, he said “Roger Smith” and gave me 0208 1331851. But when I rang back, a different person picked up, also with an Indian accent, who said his name was Blake Johnson. Something about this call felt off. Has anyone else had a call like this or know what’s going on?
