Had another call just a couple of hours after the last one, this time from a different number. It was Carphone Warehouse insisting they could sort out my upgrade. I told them I'm with O2, not them. He claimed that was no bother at all, but frankly, that’s not the case! Plus, it sounded as though he was at some sort of raucous celebration with a crowd of 50 people in the background.
