SCAMMERS EVERYWHERE! It’s absolutely ludicrous how these wretches masquerade as various legitimate companies, even going so far as to use the names of bona fide UK firms. I’ve reached out to the first company mentioned in one of these wretched calls, and a charming lady there assured me they never engage in unsolicited calls. She mentioned that they've been inundated with complaints about these fraudsters, who seem to be unknown to them. They’re relentless-telecom firms, energy suppliers, PPI claims, and personal injury solicitors, you name it. I've been pestered by a chap who insists on calling himself 'ALI', always from either blocked numbers or those ever-changing 0207/8 ones. He seems to ring me non-stop, addressing me by name (which is puzzling as to how he got it) just wanting to engage in conversation. I suspect these con artists are scouring social media to harvest personal data connected to emails and phone numbers from legitimate registrations. PLEASE, whatever you do, don’t divulge any further information about yourselves to these shameless individuals!

Got a call a few months back from someone asking for a Mr Paula. I mean, Paula’s a lass's name right? Felt a bit off since they already knew my name. So I played along and gave them a totally different name. Then, they went and asked if that name was a TalkTalk customer. I said yes just to see what would happen, and they claimed this made-up bloke owed over £2300! Told them to quit ringing me and they ended up insulting my mum and throwing some nonsense about a dog. Proper cheeky lot.

Got a call from people pretending to be from TalkTalk. They told me to go online to check a message supposedly from my laptop saying the line is not working right. Problem is, I don’t even have a laptop. When I questioned them, they just ended the call. I rang TalkTalk and they confirmed it wasn’t from them. I’ve now blocked the number. Definitely report these scammers!

I received an astonishing fifteen calls and a single voicemail today, all regarding a bill I’d already settled with TalkTalk. I was absolutely livid! I decided to ring this Happynumber and questioned how they obtained my details. When I got transferred to TalkTalk, an Indian gentleman on the line insisted that there were no calls from them, even though my phone clearly displayed a list of missed calls along with their respective times. It was quite entertaining to see his reaction; he became increasingly irate and even let a few choice words slip when I calmly said farewell and hung up. I had a rather unpleasant experience with a phone call today, dated 10th February 2016. The caller informed me that my mobile bill was overdue, which is utterly absurd since I pay via direct debit and the funds have been deducted from my bank account. When I suggested he verify his information, he insisted he was right, and mid-conversation, he just cut me off without any courtesy or farewell. It's astonishing how lacking in basic etiquette these individuals can be!

Received a call today, 30th January, from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk, insisting I had a debt to settle. Oddly enough, I had encountered a direct debit issue recently, but I sorted it out beforehand. Their story seemed fishy, so I didn’t disclose any personal information over the phone. Absolutely infuriating and downright dodgy! Every time, it’s the same story - a phone call from someone with a strong Asian accent, claiming to represent TalkTalk India. They always want payment through the phone, which is absurd since I’ve never had an account with TalkTalk and have received zero communication from them. When I press for details regarding the so-called service they’re on about, they’ve not the slightest idea and their rudeness knows no bounds. They tend to cut the line when faced with any queries! It’s a complete sham! Despite my continuous insistence that I’ve reported their nonsense and asked them to cease calling, they relentlessly pester me daily. Clearly, they’re targeting countless others, hoping to catch someone off guard enough to divulge their credit card information. They’re nothing more than a gang of con artists!

It was the same old story that so many others have shared: claiming to be from TalkTalk Accounts, demanding an overdue payment of £50.24. The catch? I don’t even have an account with them! My advice? If you receive similar calls insisting on payment, request that they send any correspondence via post-but be cautious and don’t divulge your address. Recently, I received a rather dodgy phone call from a chap sporting a thick Asian accent, claiming to represent AOL and insisting that my account was in arrears. He then proceeded to request my full name and address under the guise of 'security checks'. Quite frankly, my account is all square as I've set up a direct debit. I firmly told him I don’t share personal information over the phone and promptly ended the call. It all smells fishy to me, especially since I heard that AOL is now under Talk Talk in my region. Seems like a classic scam to me!
