SCAMMERS EVERYWHERE! It’s absolutely ludicrous how these wretches masquerade as various legitimate companies, even going so far as to use the names of bona fide UK firms. I’ve reached out to the first company mentioned in one of these wretched calls, and a charming lady there assured me they never engage in unsolicited calls. She mentioned that they've been inundated with complaints about these fraudsters, who seem to be unknown to them. They’re relentless-telecom firms, energy suppliers, PPI claims, and personal injury solicitors, you name it. I've been pestered by a chap who insists on calling himself 'ALI', always from either blocked numbers or those ever-changing 0207/8 ones. He seems to ring me non-stop, addressing me by name (which is puzzling as to how he got it) just wanting to engage in conversation. I suspect these con artists are scouring social media to harvest personal data connected to emails and phone numbers from legitimate registrations. PLEASE, whatever you do, don’t divulge any further information about yourselves to these shameless individuals!

Got a call a few months back from someone asking for a Mr Paula. I mean, Paula’s a lass's name right? Felt a bit off since they already knew my name. So I played along and gave them a totally different name. Then, they went and asked if that name was a TalkTalk customer. I said yes just to see what would happen, and they claimed this made-up bloke owed over £2300! Told them to quit ringing me and they ended up insulting my mum and throwing some nonsense about a dog. Proper cheeky lot.

I received a call from this number, but there was no information available about it. Curiously, when I tried to return the call, I was met only with the ringing tone, and then it directed me to a message stating that all lines were busy.

Got a call from people pretending to be from TalkTalk. They told me to go online to check a message supposedly from my laptop saying the line is not working right. Problem is, I don’t even have a laptop. When I questioned them, they just ended the call. I rang TalkTalk and they confirmed it wasn’t from them. I’ve now blocked the number. Definitely report these scammers!

Got about 15 calls today plus a voicemail, all about some bill I already sorted with TalkTalk. I was proper annoyed, so I called the number back to see what was going on. Got through to TalkTalk, but some bloke with an Indian accent just argued saying they hadn’t called me at all! My phone clearly had all the missed call times showing. It got tense when he started swearing once he spotted I understood him. I just said goodbye and hung up. Watch out, folks! xx

So, today on 10/02/2016 I got a call saying I haven't paid my mobile bill. Total nonsense because I pay by direct debit, and the money has definitely left my account. I asked the bloke to double-check his records, but he insisted his info was right. Before I could say anything else, he just ended the call without even a goodbye. Honestly, some people have zero manners these days.

Got a call earlier today (Jan 30) from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk, saying I’d got an outstanding payment. Funny because there was a mix-up with my DD, but I’d already sorted it a while ago. Didn't trust it one bit and refused to give any info over the phone. Sounds like a total scam to me!

What a total scam and pure harassment. They call up all the time with an Asian accent, saying they're from TalkTalk India 😒 and ask for payment over the phone. I've never even been a TalkTalk customer, and have never gotten any letters or emails from them. When you question them about the supposed service they say I owe for, they can't even verify it! They come across as really rude and thick, and just hang up if you challenge them. It’s obvious they're just trying to bother loads of people daily, hoping someone’ll foolishly give out their bank details. I've told them multiple times I’ve reported them and begged them to stop calling, but it does no good. These lot are just scammers plain and simple. Truly unpleasant.

Got a call from this number earlier, they said they were from AOL (isn't that owned by TalkTalk or something?) and told me there was an issue with my account. They warned if I didn't sort it, my broadband would get cut off. I’m pretty sure everything’s fine with my account though, so I think it’s a scam.

Got a call from this number on 27th October 2015 around 4:24pm, pretty much the same as what others have mentioned. They claimed to be from TalkTalk accounts and said I owed £50.24 for an overdue bill. Problem is, I’m not even a TalkTalk customer! My tip? If you get a call like this asking for money, just tell them to send a letter instead and never give out your address on the phone. If they’re legit, they’ll already have your details anyway.

Got a call this morning at 10.43 from a lady with an Asian accent who said she was from TalkTalk. She told me I had an unpaid bill and if I didn’t pay up, my service would be cut off. I told her I pay by direct debit so there’s no way I owe anything. She just ended the call straight away. Pretty clear this was a scam, so watch out and don’t share your info with anyone like this.

I picked up on the third ring, the voice had an Indian accent and it seemed like they were passing me around before suddenly hanging up. So this number called me the other day, and a lady said she was calling from TalkTalk about my account not being paid. She told me I needed to sort out a payment, and when I said okay, she suddenly got quiet and then asked me to enter my card info. Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying I’d gone over my phone limit by some cash. I asked a few questions and then he just cut me off. I called TalkTalk directly and the number isn’t even on their list, and my credit is all okay. Watch out for this number and don’t hand over any info, it’s dodgy.
