I had a call from Thames Water about smart meters. They couldn’t verify anything the first time, but on the second call they managed it. Then they told me to call a different number.

Yeah, it was Thames Water calling. They offered to set up a visit from someone to check things like water efficiency and to make sure everything’s running properly, all for free. They mentioned it would last about half an hour or so. I’d already received a letter about it before, so I said no thanks. They were really nice about it and didn’t pressure me at all.
