I got a call from a guy with a south Asian accent about a successful PPI claim. Before he gave me any info, he wanted me to pay some commission first.

Got a call from 02031299354 saying i was due £2700 for wrongly sold PPI, and their charge was £270 pounds. They said they'd send someone round with the cheque. Asked when I’d be in and wanted certain documents from me. Also asked if I had a day off cos deliveries only happen at specific times. I told them to just post the cheque but they refused. When I asked for more info, they couldn’t really explain and just kept repeating the same spiel. They’re now ringing me like five or six times daily.

He said he was calling back about some PPI stuff - already had my address. Then he asked if I had any middle names and wanted my DOB. He said he’d take 30% if he found any PPI claims for me. Felt a bit iffy about it, even though he mentioned data protection, still made me feel quite paranoid.

02032868676 called me saying they're from the London County Court despatch team offering £3250 ppi compensation. Asked for my new address to send the cheque. Got a funny feeling about this one, doesn't add up at all.

I just got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be part of the Central County Court of London’s Despatch team. When I questioned him, he said they’re handling PPI claims after the new 2018 laws came in. Be careful, this is definitely a SCAM. The London County Court really needs to do more to prevent these fraudsters from using their name.

I got a call too from 02071931649, some bloke named Michael saying that I had a loan back in 2002 and that I was owed £3000 in PPI. Then he asked me to buy a £175 iTunes card to cover their fees. Claimed he was calling from HSBC. As soon as I heard his accent, I just told him to piss off and hung up straight away. He tried ringing me back but I just ignored him.

I got a call from a private number with an Asian bloke on the line, telling me I had a claim for £3100. He said I needed to buy £250 worth of PaySafe cards and then they'd send someone over with my cheque. I looked into it more and quickly realised it was a scam. They kept ringing me loads, some even shouting, so I told them my partner is a police officer. Since then, they’ve stopped calling. They wanted me to ring 01444390618, claiming to be the despatch team from the High Court in London.

Just this morning I got a call from someone named Kensy Richie who said he was ringing from the Despatch Team at Central London County Court. He told me I had a £4200 cheque waiting because of a CCJ linked to PPI mis-selling by HSBC back in 2007. When I asked for more details, suddenly the amount jumped to £7600. He got really rude and cut the call when I asked for a photo of the cheque. Total scammers!!! After reading other posts about calls from 02081239872, it's clear this is a common trick. Everyone, be careful out there!!!!!!!

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said his name was Keith Williams from 0208 123 9872. He told me I was owed about £7700 for PPI and that a bloke called Thomas Jones was goin to drop off a cheque at my house tonight. Then, I had to pay a 5% fee of £385 on an Apple prepaid card. Today I got a call from someone named Terrance Richie claiming to be from the London County Court despatch team about an accident claim I supposedly have. He said he need to organise collection of a cheque for £6700 and wanted me to pay £335 using iTunes cards. He said a courier called Eric Wisdom would bring the cheque. This has got scam written all over it. I spoke to my lawyer who is now looking into it. Planning to report this to the fraud unit and the police as well.

Got a ring from 02081239872, some Joseph Botha guy who said he was from London county court. He had this weird accent, bit Asian I’d say. He claimed there was a cheque for £3200 about some mis-sold ppi, and said he’d send it over by special delivery in an hour if I first got £225 in paysafe vouchers for a fee. Sounds like a total scam to me, watch out people!

They rang me about an accident claim saying I owed £6700. This company, calling themselves The Dispatch Team London County Court, seemed to know a bit about me. The guy, Keith, said they’d sent me two letters and asked if I’d changed address. I said no, then he went on that my claim’s been settled and they want to send me a cheque. When I tried calling back, everyone had a strange foreign accent. Don’t fall for this - your own solicitor will always let you know if your case has been sorted.

A bloke named Steve rang me, claiming he was with the Dispatch Team at Central County Court London. He said I had a cheque for £4,200 related to a car crash from 2012. When I asked him for the car’s registration, he told me it was an X reg. I’ve never owned a car with an X reg, so I just hung up. Later, he phoned my home number and left the same message. Definitely don’t answer them. I'm going to report this lot.

0208123 9872 TOTAL SCAM!! A bloke named Karl White rang me saying ive got a £6200 cheque ready to be sent to me. I remembered a crash i had years ago so i got excited thinking they were for that! He said theres no fees or anything, the cheque was sent out but to my old address. On the next call he told me i had to buy PAYsafe vouchers for £210 as a 5% fee for processing. This is a proper scam, luckily i didnt get tricked at all, thank god!

Block this number right away, it’s a scam!! He wanted me to buy a £210 voucher so I could supposedly cash a £4,200 cheque from an accident I never had. Claimed his name was Martin Matthew, but from his accent, he sounded Asian, probably Indian. He also mentioned some bloke called Anthony Page would come with my cheque, and I’d need to sign some documents! Suspicious, I rang the London Central County Court and they confirmed it’s a FRAUD! I’d recommend reporting this to the police so they can track down this CON ARTIST!!

Got a call tonight from this bloke with an Asian accent, he knew my name, where I live and even my bank. Kept saying he was from the London County Court trying to send me a cheque for £5000 about some PPI and loan I supposedly took years ago. Total scam, I never even had a loan! I asked for a contact number and more info about the loan, but Martin - the dude who was really hard to understand - just said he’d ring me back.

So this bloke called me earlier, said he was Carl White and claimed I'd got £4500 from some RBS credit card deal. At first, I thought it was legit - he knew all my details and stuff. But then I popped into my local PayPoint to ask about it, and they told me straight up it was a scam. Glad I checked before getting tricked!

Got a call from a guy named Carl White, claiming he was from the dispatch team at the central county court in London. He said I was due £5400 from a PPI claim related to a mortgage I supposedly paid off back in 2010. Problem is, I never made any claim and definitely didn’t pay off any mortgage that year. Some bloke rang me today claiming he has a cheque from an accident I supposedly had back in 2012. I never had any accident that year, so I told him he was just a con artist and that the cops would be onto him soon. He just laughed and then started being really rude down the phone. He also said he was calling from the London County Court. I told him to take that cheque and go enjoy a holiday somewhere. Don’t buy anything he’s saying, it’s all a scam and a trick.

Got a call from 0208 123 9872, same as others have said. A bloke called Richard Thomas said he was from a dispatch team and that I had a cheque for £4700 for PPI compensation. Then he asked me to buy three Paysafe vouchers worth £235 in total, saying a courier called Eric Wisdom would bring the cheque to me personally. After checking online, it’s clearly a scam, and folks should watch out. This happened around 5:30 this evening, and I just got another call from the same number at 7:10 pm, but this time they mentioned some supposed accident.

Absolute rip off! They pretend to be from the so called Despatch Team at Central County Court in London, which doesn’t even exist. Courts don’t deal with PPI claims, so this is a total load of rubbish. They try to get you to pay in advance using UKash - don’t fall for it, it’s definitely a con. Stay away!
