Got a voicemail earlier saying I hadn’t returned some documents and that there was a petition to have me arrested. If anyone else gets these dodgy calls or anything to do with cyber crime, make sure you report it to Action Fraud, the official National Fraud & Cyber Crime Reporting Centre. Their number’s 0300 123 2040. It can take ages to get through but it’s definitely worth the hassle to help stop these scammers.

Got a recorded message that said something like "This is Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, there’s no record of your tax returns and you’ll be arrested if you don’t act now." Proper scary since it came from a 0208 area code and not one of those usual VoIP numbers. Definitely putting this one on my block list.

I had a similar experience recently. I told the guy he seemed dodgy and asked if he could pass me onto another person. He ended up putting me through to himself, saying his name was Paul Wilson. At first, I was proper shook when he accused me of dodging tax, but then it turned into a bit of a joke as it went along. Honestly, some folks are gonna get caught out by this. Unbelievable what some folks will do trying to con cash out of you. I got a call from some muppet claiming I’d be sacked for major tax fraud and facing 2 years in jail. I asked him if that was without any proper trial or checking first? Then I told him to show me the arrest warrant and he said it was already issued, then just hung up on me! Bloody police really ought to crack down on these scams! Seems like this number’s been doing this trick for ages, how come they haven’t shut it down yet? It’s a landline too, so surely it’s easy enough to track!

Got a voicemail telling me to ring back asap on that number cause it’s 'urgent'. They claimed some parcel wasn’t signed for and returned, but the message was cut off a bit.
