11 yearsEarlier today, she decided to adopt the name Richard Scott. Strangely enough, her accent didn't quite match the typical Scottish lilt!Richard Scott13 yearsI’ve been receiving calls for the past three weeks from someone claiming to be from Microsoft support. When I inquired about his number and how my home phone number came into their possession, he mentioned a company named Online Web Support Ltd. but I couldn’t find any trace of them in my search. He insisted that they would need to clear my Microsoft account through my router because my computer was allegedly infected with a virus. I told him to go ahead and do it! It’s quite unbelievable that someone thinks they can diagnose a computer virus over the telephone! Surprise, surprise - my computer continues to work perfectly fine and my Microsoft support is intact, with my router remaining unscathed. The chap on the other end of the line sounded like he was calling from India. Do these scammers genuinely believe we’ll fall for their tricks? It’s utterly ridiculous. They ought to consider getting a legitimate job instead!MicrosoftOnline Web Support Ltd.IndiaSubmit Your Own Report (020 8123 8931)
