They send you the wrong phone at first, ask you to send it back, promising the right one will follow - but it never shows. From what I gathered, the return address is a private home, so they grab the phone but leave you stuck with the contract. I contacted my bank, and they knew all about it; O2 seems to be the network involved. The callers had thick Asian accents and kept telling me I was eligible for a phone upgrade from Carphone Warehouse. They even sent me an email confirming the order, and somehow got hold of my bank info. They claimed Vodafone passed my details to them. Over time, they tried eight times to withdraw money. A couple of payments went through for £30 each - one labelled under EE and another under O2. The last two attempts were shocking, one was for £365! I’d advise everyone to steer clear of these fraudsters.
