They told me money had been taken from my account, but I was pretty sure it was a scam. So I just fed them rubbish details and said I’d call my bank. After that, they backed off and told me to call this number instead. Total scam!

They nearly got my 89 year old grandma to part with £4000. The people on the phone were so intimidating and convincing, she’s really upset now.

I got a call from 01775659617 claiming there was suspicious activity on my account. They asked for my date of birth and sort code, then insisted I withdraw £3,000. I kept telling them I couldn't do that and asked them to just cancel my card instead. When I said I was concerned it might be a scam, the caller got annoyed and ended the call abruptly.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HSBC fraud dept, saying I needed to take money out of my account. Sounds like a total scam to me. Don’t share any bank info and definitely make sure you report it!

I got a call on my landline from 01708 724850, and the person on the other end told me to call another number about a fraud investigation on my bank account. They asked me to press option 1 and then wanted my date of birth, which made me really wary. I told them I’d go directly to my bank to check, and as soon as I said that, I ended the call. They kept ringing me back, but I just ignored them. When I visited my bank in person, they said they hadn’t made any calls like that and said it was almost definitely a scam.
