Just had a rather suspicious call from someone claiming to be Jennifer Smith, complete with an Indian accent. She mentioned some issues with my router, which I found quite peculiar as I had just spent a good chunk of last week on the phone with BT sorting out a new one-so there’s definitely nothing wrong on my end. What's more, she provided me with a number to ring back. Sounds like a right scam to me!

I received a call earlier today from the number 020305436530. It was the usual tale about strangers accessing my internet. The caller had a distinctly Indian accent. When I mentioned that I would reach out to BT directly, they handed me that helpline number. Clearly, it's a scam!

I received a rather suspicious call on the 13th of December, 2017, from a woman with a rather unusual accent. She claimed that my BT internet had been compromised and was pressing for personal information. When I requested her name and a contact number, she provided me with a number and introduced herself as Lyndsey Smith. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I received a call today from someone claiming to be from BT, urging me to log in as they said foreign hackers were trying to invade my account. They insisted that I needed to be at my computer so they could assist me in blocking these supposed threats. Feeling rather dubious, I requested their information, stating that I would return their call later. They provided what they said was the BT head office address but the number was unusual-a 0208, which is rather suspect as it ought to be a 0207. Additionally, they shared an employee’s name and number that sounded quintessentially British; however, the caller’s accent certainly did not fit the bill. That raised even more red flags for me, so I decided against returning their call.

Just had a cheeky call today on the 7th of November, 2017. The chap on the other end insisted he was from BT and mentioned that our broadband was supposedly being exploited by unauthorised users, which was affecting our speed. He had quite the accent, calling himself Stephen George-very dubious, if you ask me! Next, he tried to get me to log into my computer or something along those lines. I lost interest very quickly and decided to end the call. Total scam!

Caution is key! This is a total con. They claimed that my internet was being accessed by someone else and urged me to download TeamViewer. Then they wanted me to log into my online banking. Whatever you do, don’t follow their instructions! When I mentioned I had spoken to BT and that they didn’t recognise this number, they promptly hung up. Stay safe!

I received a rather dodgy call from a chap named Jack Williams, complete with an Indian accent, claiming to represent BT. He insisted that our computer had been hacked and offered to assist us in rectifying the issue. I told him my husband would return the call, and he kindly provided a contact number along with his employee ID, BGT195. When I mentioned that we're not actually with BT, he remarked that, in the UK, BT is essentially the overarching authority and oversees all internet service providers. This might shed light on why we’re also fielding calls from Tiscali, Talk Talk, and others, all keen to 'fix' the same supposed problem! Ironically, as I’m typing this, another call just came through from a bloke named Mike, also with an Indian accent, claiming to be from Tiscali-two calls from different providers in under an hour! Isn't that delightful?

I just received a rather concerning phone call from a chap claiming that someone is interfering with our line and causing it to lag. Thankfully, I took a moment to look up this number and stumbled upon these comments!

I received a call earlier from someone claiming to be from BT, threatening to cut off my internet for a period of three to four months. Total nonsense, if you ask me! They’ve now been blocked, but I insisted on confirming who they really were, and lo and behold, this is the number they provided. They rang me from some international line, which is just ridiculous! What a complete nuisance!

I've received a barrage of calls from this number this morning, all claiming my internet has been compromised. They keep insisting I enter a bunch of dodgy web addresses. Seriously, steer clear of these calls and disregard their directions. It's nothing but a SCAM!!!

Like many have mentioned, I've been receiving calls from an unfamiliar accent every few minutes, claiming my internet service is about to be disrupted due to potential hacking. They assert they're from BT. They’ve even tried to get me to input certain commands on my computer for them to "fix" the issue. No chance of that happening! It's such a bother, isn’t it?

I’ve had a right dodgy experience with these chaps! They claim to be from BT, spinning a yarn about issues with my broadband. It’s all just a ploy to get into your computer and plant some nasty viruses. Definitely not trustworthy!

Received a call purporting to be from BT, claiming that unknown individuals were attempting to access our business's wifi network. The caller was a woman with an Indian accent, and I could discern other voices in the background, suggesting she was not alone. When I requested a callback number, she provided one, but I’ve refrained from returning the call, as I have my suspicions that it’s simply a scam.

Our workplace received a call from this number. The woman on the line had a thick accent, which made it quite hard to follow her speech. She claimed that BT was about to terminate our broadband service.

Definitely a scam!
