I got a call from a bloke claiming he was from some phone company, trying to sell me an iPhone 13 Pro Max for just £30. Since I work with a firm that's linked to all the major networks, I asked him a couple of things and quickly realised it was a scam. Just a heads up, genuine phone providers don’t usually ring you out of the blue unless you’ve dealt with them before. Don’t get caught out by these sorts of tricks!

Got a call from some bloke trying to sell me an iPhone 13. I told him straight up I wasn’t interested, but he kept pushing like I was crazy for not wanting the “amazing offer.” I repeated that I was fine with my phone and didn’t want to buy anything, then he just abruptly ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam to me.

I got a call from a woman with an accent I could barely make out, who told me there was a parcel waiting for me and asked if I wanted to find out how to claim it. When I asked her which company she was with, she replied Royal Mail. I then questioned why it wasn’t just delivered along with my usual Royal Mail post, and she just hung up on me.

Somebody called saying I had to pay money before my parcel could be delivered. I was pretty sure it was a scam and told them to find a better way to make money instead of trying to trick old folks like me. Then they just hung up. Seriously, never share your bank details with these fraudsters. Total con!

Like loads of others here, they claim to be calling from the post office or something similar. But if these numbers are so well-known for scamming people, why do they still seem to get away with it? Seems dodgy to me.

I received a message from a lady claiming that there's a parcel waiting for me at a post office in Central London. She mentioned they needed my details to send an invoice for the postage fees. I requested an SMS for clarification, but then the line went silent. I can't shake off the feeling that this might be a scam. It's quite puzzling how they managed to get hold of my mobile number in the first place.

She asked for my email and then sent me a message from some dodgy-looking address pretending to be Royal Mail. I got a ring from someone saying they were from Royal Mail saying I owed £1.50 for a parcel. I asked how they managed to get my name and phone number but no address, and they couldn’t really give me a straight answer. When I asked if this was some new Royal Mail service where they call to tell you about postage fees, the person said it was because scammers were pretending to be them. I then pointed out how ridiculous it was that anyone would try and con people out of money, especially close to Christmas. She didn’t seem too happy with that and just ended the call.
