Some bloke said he was from B.T and told me I’d paid £90 too much last year. He asked for my bank info so he could send the money back. Sounded pretty legit and even told me the first two digits of my card, asking me to give the rest. Didn’t fall for it and didn’t share anything else. I rang B.T just to double check and they said there was nothing like that on their end. Then I called my bank worried my info might be out there, but they said loads of cards from their bank begin with the same two digits anyway.

I've had to report this number again - second time now - and I'll keep flagging it for harassment! Hope they enjoy the fines coming their way. Since it’s the second complaint, they'll probably look into it properly and slap some penalties for ignoring the do not call rules and for being a nuisance. Guess that’s a win for us! What a prat!

Got a call supposedly from BT saying I’d paid them £60 too much this month and they wanted my Visa card info to sort a refund! When I asked for a number to ring back, the bloke just hung up on me!

Absolutely shocking how impolite they were! They phoned me, started talking, then when i told them I’m on the do not call register, they just hung up on me. Really not impressed. It’s both disrespectful and against the law. Stay clear and don’t ever bother me again. If whoever owns this number reads this, consider yourself warned! I’ve recorded the time and date of this dodgy call and if it happens again, I’ll be reporting it for sure. There’s no way this is a normal Aussie mobile number, it’s too long, looks like it’s from overseas which makes it illegal!

number was silent and just disconnected. on another note, since im a BT user, found out i can get BT protect at no cost which lets me block calls and they go straight to voicemail junk. only started using it recently so not sure how well it works yet!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from the road traffic department about an accident I supposedly had. When I asked how she got my number since I'm unlisted, she just kept saying it was from the road traffic division. I told her she was lying because there aren’t any cars registered at my place and said I’d be reporting her. Then I ended the call. This number rang me earlier today making strange talk about a cheque for £3,800 linked to some car crash. A few days back, I got a call from a mysterious number about the same thing. I told them I’ve not been in any accident and reckon it’s a scam. I told them to delete my info and warned if I get more calls, I’ll inform the police. They hung up really quick - not so surprising!

Had a pretty similar thing happen to me, this guy claimed he was from Microsoft saying my PC was getting hacked or something. He wanted me to go on my computer and I said yeah, but obviously my phone wasn't hooked up to it. Then he asked if I had a mobile. I said nope, don't have one. He then said he’d ring me back another time.

Just today, someone called claiming to be from Microsoft HQ, telling me to turn on my computer because apparently they got a report yesterday saying it was infected and being hacked!!?? I told them I work in IT and hadn’t even touched my computer yesterday, so I didn’t understand where they got that info from. Not long after, they just ended the call! It’s a shame these scammers can’t be stopped - one day they might trick someone who isn’t so cautious, and then the computer really will be compromised. Best advice: just say NO.

Got a call from this number, the guy sounded like he was Indian. He said there was an issue with my Windows computer. I told him I don’t even own a Windows PC but he just kept going on. I told him I knew it was a scam and to not bother me, then I ended the call.

I got a call just now, answered it, but all I heard was a dialling tone like I was the one calling, then it ended suddenly. Did a 1471 to see who it was, then looked up the number on my laptop and saw loads of other people having the same issue (kinda reassuring I’m not the only one). I’m sure if we all pitch in, there’s gotta be some way to put a stop to this.

Got a call from someone named Max on 0208 1234567 around 12:10pm today (1/10/15). He started off with "Switch your computer on right now. There's a problem I need to warn you about." I asked him what he meant. Then I said I was tracking his number and he just said "Don't care one bit." I've passed the call time and what he said onto 'Action Fraud', the Police Cyber Crime unit. NEXT TIME, please report stuff to them through their website ico.org.uk. They'll try to trace the number and hopefully shut these people down. THEY CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT.

This is just the usual lot of scammers from India. They call all the time trying this nonsense. They’re not really dangerous though. Just say you haven’t got a computer, live off the grid, and have no clue what the internet is, and they’ll back off. Even better, humour them while pretending you’re using an old school toy like a doodle pad. Don’t admit it’s a doodle pad until you’re nearly finished with the convo. Honestly, you’d have to be daft as a brush to give any personal info to these muppets.

Got a call today from an Asian bloke claiming to be from technical support, said hackers were trying to get into my Windows PC. I just ended the call straight away.

My elderly mum keeps getting calls from this number and it's really worrying her, especially when they start asking about my dad who’s passed away.
