I’ve just had a right cheeky call from some dodgy types, thick Indian accent and all! They insisted that I’d been part of a car crash a year and a half back and wanted me to fill out a survey about it. They claimed to be from the Accident Investigation Bureau, offering to assist me in getting my hands on some compensation. Then, they had the gall to ask for my bank information. What a scam!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Openreach, saying they needed to test my internet speed because it might be down. Asked me to switch on my laptop, but I wasn’t having any of it and ended the call right away. The bloke sounded like he had a foreign accent, so I figured it was a scam.

The caller was really pushy and aggressive, wouldn't stop bothering me. I ended up hanging up. Then, later the same day, I got another call just like it, probably another scam.

Just put up an ad on Gumtree and got two calls back to back within 5 mins. From what I’ve read here, they must be grabbing numbers from Gumtree ads. Didn’t hesitate to block the number right away!

I got a call from someone who actually knew my name, saying I'd recently been in an accident. I could tell it was dodgy straight away, so I decided to mess with them a bit. I asked where on earth they got my number from, and they stuttered before just hanging up. Made me chuckle!

Got two calls from the same number. First time they just hung up, then called back again. I reckon they weren't ready to speak to a bloke on my wife's phone. The caller said he knew my name from some department, but I have no clue which one. The dogs started barking madly, so I couldn’t make out what he was saying, and then he just ended the call. No idea what he was after.

i got a call from someone who could hardly speak english or really talk clearly, he was just mumbling when i answered with my normal phrase - "this is the accident help line, how can i assist?" quite confusing!
