The thing is, I wasn't even in my vehicle at the time of the incident-I was happily browsing the aisles of Tescos! The caller insisted that the only thing I needed to do to claim the cheque was to be home when the courier showed up, sign some documents about the supposed accident, and cash the cheque once it arrived. They assured me that no funds would be exchanged directly with the courier. I did wonder, aside from the possibility of the cheque bouncing, where the catch could be hiding. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
