For the past couple of months, I've been getting calls from a company claiming they could sell me an iPhone 11 for a bargain that seemed unreal. They pretended to be from phones{###], which is a legit firm, so I let my guard down. Ended up getting tricked into a 24-month EE contract, and when I tried to cancel, EE told me I had to either give back the phone (which I never got) or pay £1300. Honestly, steer clear of these calls. From now on, I’m not holding back - I’ll be pretty blunt with anyone calling like this.

Got a call from a dodgy number pretending to be from bank about my new iPhone 11, trying to swipe my bank info. Absolute scam, didn’t fall for that rubbish! Stay safe everyone, these con artists are the worst!

Seriously, how come these annoying calls keep happening? Some guy with a thick Indian accent was telling me about a new iPhone 11 deal with unlimited calls, texts, and data - basically unlimited everything. No way am I dealing with some dodgy company that just rings me up out of the blue and ruins my day. I really wish these irritating calls would just buzz off, but sadly they pop up way too much!

It looks like I've stumbled upon a questionable mobile phone reseller who might be fishing for your bank account and card information. I have a strong inkling this is a scam-this particular caller, identifying as phonescompany.co.uk, is pretending to represent phones.co.uk. Stay vigilant!

Received a call from this number today, pitching what they described as a ludicrous offer of £35 monthly for an iPhone 11 Pro. I probed further, and the email I received in response was utterly unprofessional. They claim to be affiliated with phones.co.uk and are supposedly based in Derbyshire. Initially, a chap called me, but after I began to express my doubts, he passed me on to his supervisor. She rattled off a sales pitch, insisting this was a brilliant offer and that I wasn't obliged to proceed if I didn't fancy it! I made it very clear that I believed them to be scammers and that I had no intention of sharing my banking details. Please stay vigilant, everyone - the caller claims to represent phones.co.uk.

I recently took a call from this number, and I must say, I’m rather pleased that I decided to look it up prior to divulging any of my personal information. The individuals sounded like they were part of a duo, and they were hell-bent on securing my 16-digit card number, even though we had previously arranged to set up a direct debit instead. To add to my concerns, they requested that I provide an email, and the grammar was atrocious, to say the least. If you happen to get a call from this number, do yourself a favour and just hang up! - caller: 02081230089

They're definitely a bunch of con artists. It’s just unbelievable how they pretend to ring up from a telecoms provider! Totally dodgy, this whole situation. I wouldn’t advise sharing any of your personal information with them. Just steer clear! - Caller: Woman

Initially, I received three missed calls from 02081230089. Shortly after, I noticed another two missed calls from +1442081230089. I found that rather peculiar since the UK country code is +44, not +144. It gives off the impression that the number might be attempting to hide its true identity. - caller: 020i1230098

I answered the call pretty fast but it just dropped. Seeing as others have been asking about this number too, I’m guessing it’s spam and going to block it.
