I received a rather dodgy phone call purporting to be from BT, insisting that my internet connection was being misused without my consent and that I must act immediately. I informed the caller that I’m not even a BT customer, yet she insisted that my line was flagged for improper use. When I pressed her for my name and address, she was totally flummoxed and promptly ended the call. Clearly, this was a scam!
