I answered the call, but they hung up swiftly after just a minute or so. Quite odd, really.

Just received a cheeky call at 5:40 PM today; it was an American woman’s automated voice exclaiming, "Congratulations! You've bagged yourself an all-expenses-paid cruise in the Caribbean! Press nine for further details." Naturally, I acted with common sense and hung up promptly.

Just like Nat mentioned, I received a recorded message on the phone that stated we had won something. We hung up before we could catch any more details.

I overlooked a call earlier today; this number showed up when I dialled 1471. I gave it a ring back, but all I got was some strange buzzing noise, followed by an unhelpful unobtainable tone. Quite odd, isn't it? 🤔

It’s absolutely appalling that these individuals feel entitled to disturb the peace of our homes with their calls. My mother, who is quite elderly, has been feeling anxious about the possibility of her bank making unexpected changes to her accounts. However, after conducting a bit of research on this platform, we quickly uncovered that it’s all a scam. If we ever got our hands on the lowlifes behind these calls, I assure you, they’d be in for a serious reckoning!

Just received a call from this number a mere five minutes ago, claiming that I had won a Caribbean cruise and urging me to press nine. To say I hung up straight away would be an understatement! Now, it might just be a fluke, but we did place our very first online order with "Papa John's" only twenty minutes prior to the call. And yes, I did share my phone number during the checkout process. Is anyone else out there able to confirm if they're experiencing something similar? Could it be that Papa John's is passing on our details?

A rather puzzling phone call just now at quarter to six on a quiet Sunday eve, but alas, no one on the other end. What could possibly be the reason for that?

Received a quiet call at 17:45 on Sunday evening. Any idea what that was about? Curious, really!

They're at it again! They called while we weren't home, but guess what? No message was left. Clearly, they're still lurking about.

Just received a rather cheeky call at 5:40 PM this evening, claiming I'd won a lavish Caribbean cruise fully funded by someone or other. The message was delivered in that typical American lady’s robotic voice, inviting me to press nine for further information. Naturally, I made the wise decision to hang up without engaging further!

I hung up the moment I answered. Those persistent cold calls should be banned, honestly!

Strange number, that one. Didn’t recognise it, and I reckon it’s just another one of those daft automated calls trying to tell us we've snagged a prize or something ridiculous. Honestly, we’d much rather deal with annoying calls from actual people - at least then we can give them a piece of our mind!

Gave it a bell, but it went unanswered. Tried reaching out but the person didn’t get back to me. I’ll have to give it another go, but just got that unavailable tone.

Received a call from 020-8119-0000 at precisely 6:14 PM on the 11th of February, 2010. When I answered, there was complete silence on the other end, prompting us to hang up. This number appears rather suspect to me. I even reached out to a BT operator, who mentioned that there was no record of this number in their system for the 0208-119 exchange. I’ll be keeping a vigilant watch on our phone bill, as I’ve heard that some numbers can lead to exorbitant charges if you attempt to call them back or if they ring you. Cheers, Mike Cook.

The phone keeps ringing, and every time I answer, it’s silent on the other end. I can't even redial the number as it’s come up as unobtainable. It’s infuriating! Whoever is behind these calls just won't take a hint. It's high time this nonsense was put to an end!
